Technical data 2

The device has four main modes of operation:

· Mode of disarming;

· Security mode;

· Alarm mode;

· Electronic keys programming mode.

The number of monitored alarm loops - 1. Types of notifications: “Norm”, “Alarm”, “Fire”, “Attention”, “Fault”, “Power”, “Reserve”, “Discharge”, “Opening”.

The device provides security mode with the following parameters of the loop:

· The maximum resistance of the wires of the fire loop without taking into account the remote element is not more than 220 Ohm, the resistance of the leakage between the wires is not less than 50 kOhm;

· The maximum resistance of the wires of the security loop without taking into account the remote element is not more than 470 Ohm, the resistance of the leakage between the wires is not less than 20 kOhm;

· The resistance of the external resistor is 3.9 kOhm.

The device switches to the alarm mode when the monitored alarm loop is violated.

The device monitors the state of the alarm loop by the value of its resistance.

The “Normal” notification is generated with the above-mentioned loop parameters.

The "Alarm" notification is generated when a security detector is triggered in a security loop (the total loop resistance is less than 1.9 kOhm or more than 5 kOhm).

The “Attention” notification is generated when one fire alarm is triggered in a fire alarm loop.

The “Fire” notification is generated when two fire detectors are triggered in a fire alarm loop.

The “Fault” notification is generated in the event of a short circuit or a break in a fire alarm loop (total loop resistance is less than 250 Ohm or more than 11 kOhm).

The device provides power supply for current-consuming detectors through the AL with a current consumption in standby mode of no more than 1.5 mA.

The device registers an AL violation lasting more than 350 ms and does not respond to an AL violation lasting less than 250 ms.

The control panel provides transmission of “Alarm”, “Attention”, “Fire”, “Fault” notifications to the monitoring station via two channels by opening the relay contacts with the following parameters:

· Working currents through contacts up to 50 mA;

Working voltages, switched by contacts, up to 72 V.

The device registers the actuation of two fire detectors in a fire alarm loop. This ensures the switching of the OPV relay contacts and the closure of the OK output to the common wire.

The device is switched from the disarming mode to the armed mode and back by touching the Touch memory port with the electronic key.

The device provides arming, according to the “closed door” tactics - the security mode is activated after a delay of 2 minutes. after the electronic key touches the Touch memory port. During this delay, the formation of the “Alarm” sound signal by the security loop is blocked. When using the device as a firefighter, the security mode is activated after 5 seconds.

The alarm signal at the control panel output is fixed and can be cleared only by switching the control panel from the security mode to the disarming mode.

When operating in the centralized security mode, 1 the control panel provides a delay in the issuance of an audible alarm to the siren after an alarm loop is violated for a 10 sec delay time required to disarm the control panel.

When operating in the centralized security 2 and radio security modes, the device provides a delay in the alarm signaling to the sounder after a loop violation (door opening), in the presence of a 3.9 kOhm shunt resistor on the door sensor, for a 10 s delay time required to remove the device from protection. In other cases, when the loop is violated, the sounder is activated without delay.

When operating in the fire protection mode, the device provides an alarm signal to the sounder after a loop violation without delay. At the "Fault" notification, a continuous sound signal is provided, at the "Attention" notification, an intermittent sound signal with a period of 2 seconds, and at the "Fire" notification, an intermittent sound signal with a frequency of 1 Hz.

When operating in the radio security mode, the device provides one short beep when arming and two short beeps when disarming.

The duration of the sound signal in the "Alarm" mode is 3 minutes.

The device has light indicators on the front panel:

· AL states: “Guard-Fault”, “Fire-Alarm”;

· The state of the power supply: “Network-Reserve”.

The "Security-Fault" indicator displays the following modes:

· Normal state of the loop - the indicator is green;

· Malfunction (open or short circuit) of the fire alarm loop - the indicator blinks green with a frequency of 1 Hz;

· Malfunction (short circuit of the output terminals + 12V) - the indicator blinks green with a period of 2 seconds.

The "Fire-Alarm" indicator displays the following modes:

· AL is disarmed - the indicator is off;

· Normal state of AL - the indicator is off;

· Operation of one fire detector included in the fire alarm loop - the indicator blinks red with a period of 2 seconds;

· Activation of two fire detectors included in the fire alarm loop - the indicator lights up red;

· Violation of the security loop - the indicator blinks red with a frequency of 1 Hz.

The "Network-Standby" indicator displays the following modes:

· Power supply of the device from the network - the indicator is green;

· Power supply of the device from the battery - the indicator blinks green with a frequency of 1 Hz;

· Battery discharge - the indicator blinks green with a period of 2 seconds.

Intermittent green light of the indicator means that the battery is discharged and the device is in the disarming mode.

The indicators “Guard-Fault”, “Fire-Alarm” and “Network-Reserve” are also used when programming electronic keys to indicate the programming mode.

A remote sounder can be connected to the device - a siren with a nominal operating voltage of 12 V and a consumption current of up to 500 mA (a battery is required).

The device provides connection of an external light annunciator - an external lamp with a nominal operating voltage of 12 V and a power of up to 2 W.

The light annunciator is turned off in the disarmed mode, is continuously lit in the armed mode and signals by intermittent light in the alarm mode.

The OPV output allows, in security modes of operation, to provide the functions of polite backlighting, duplication of the outputs of the sounder and the monitoring station.

When using the device as a firefighter, it is provided to turn off fire detectors powered by both the +12 V output and the AL.

The device provides a current of up to 150 mA at the 12 V output.

AL voltage at its nominal resistance: 18 ± 2 V.

The device is powered from an alternating current 50 Hz with a voltage of 220 V + 10 / -15% and / or from a built-in 12 V battery with a capacity of 1.2 A / h.

Power consumed from the AC mains (with a charged battery and without external sirens) in all modes - no more than 8 VA.

Consumption current from the battery in the absence of external consumers - no more than 50 mA in standby mode and no more than 70 mA in alarm mode.

When the device is powered from the mains, the battery is recharged.

To prevent premature battery failure, the device is automatically disconnected when discharged to a level of 10.5 ± 0.4 V.

This results in minimal current consumption and prevents deep discharge of the battery. The exit from this mode will occur automatically when the mains voltage appears.

Operating temperature range from -30 to +50 ° С.

Mean time between failures of the device in the armed mode or in the disarming mode - at least 40,000 hours.

The device is supplied by the manufacturer with the “Centralized security 1” operating tactics set.

Getting started 5

Check the correctness of the installation and carry out a functional check of the device with a power supply from the AC mains in the following sequence:

· Put the AL on duty by closing doors, windows, transoms, etc .;

· Arm the device with an electronic key;

· If the “Guard-Fault” indicator light and the siren are illuminated with a steady light, then the AL is operational, if the “Fire-Alarm” light indicator and the siren are “blinking”, the AL is faulty;

· Correct the loop and repeat arming. Arming / disarming the control panel should not trigger the sounder, regardless of the state of the loop;

· Disarm the device by touching the port with an electronic key, while the light annunciator and indicator lights should go out. Break the loop - open the front door and leave it open. Arming the device, the light annunciator and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should “blink”. The sounder should not work. Close the front door, while the light annunciator should light up continuously, and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should go out. After three minutes, open the front door. The light annunciator and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should switch to the “blinking” alarm mode of illumination, the sounder should turn on for 3 minutes. Close the front door, the nature of the alarm should not change. Disarm the device using an electronic key;

· Check the device's ability to record the operation of each detector included in the AL;

· In the case of using the device as a firefighter, make sure that the device is able to distinguish the operation of one or two detectors from a loop failure. To do this, perform forced operation of fire detectors;

· By disconnecting the device from the 220 V network, make sure that the device is operational when powered from the built-in battery;

· Check the device's ability to work with the centralized monitoring station.

Fire brigade 6

In this mode, arming / disarming is performed with an electronic key. The “Guard-Fault” indicator glows green in the armed mode and intermittent green when the alarm loop is malfunctioning. The "Fire-Alarm" indicator glows intermittent red when one detector is triggered and continuous red when the second is triggered.

A notification is issued to the monitoring station1 line about the actuation of at least one fire detector. This notification can be used as an “Attention” signal if it is necessary to distinguish between the actuation of two detectors.

In this case, the switching of the OPV relay contacts can be used as a “Fire” notification when the second detector is triggered. The message “Fault” is sent to the monitoring station2 line in case of an open or short circuit of the loop.

The OPV relay contacts can be used to turn off ventilation and turn on the light board. Simultaneously with the activation of the OPV relay, the device generates an external signal (logical '0' at the OK output) to control an external voice alarm (for example, “Nabat”).

In order for the device to detect the operation of two current-consuming fire detectors in the AL, it is necessary to install additional resistors in series with each one, the resistance of which depends on the type of detectors. For example: DIP-1 kOhm, IP101-3A-1.5 kOhm, IP101-1A-2.2 kOhm.

Centralized security 1 7

Before arming the device, close all doors, windows, vents on which the detectors are installed.

Touch the port with the dongle. In this case, the control panel will enter the arming mode for the duration of the 2-minute delay. In this mode, the AL can be violated many times. The indicators "Guard-Fault", "Fire-Alarm", the contacts of the ARC1 relay and the external light annunciator reflect the state of the alarm loop. If the "Security-Fault" indicator is green and the lamp is on continuously, then the AL is operational. Otherwise, eliminate the loop violation, or wait until the active detectors enter the operating mode.

Upon entering the protected area, the sounder is activated with a 10 second delay. In this mode, the output contacts of the OPV relay (OPV1 and OPV2) are closed during the operation of the sounder, that is, they duplicate its operation. In this case, the OPV relay can be used to switch an external network sounder.

Use the electronic key to switch the device to the disarming mode. In this case, the indicators "Protection-Fault", "Fire-Alarm", and external sirens are turned off.

Centralized security 2 8

This mode differs from the centralized arming mode 1 in that the alarm signal is transmitted via two monitoring station channels.

The signal is sent to the sounder after violation of the loop (door opening), carried out with a delay of 10 seconds, in the presence of a 3.9 kOhm shunt resistor on the door sensor. In case of other violations of the AL, the sounder is activated without delay.

In this mode, when the device is armed and disarmed, the OPV relay switches for 30 seconds. You can, by connecting the contacts of this relay in parallel with the light switch, organize a "polite backlight" when entering and leaving the room.

Radio guard 9

The control panel functions similarly to the centralized protection mode, except that the electronic key port is located outside the protected area.

Monitoring station1 works as in the centralized protection modes, while monitoring station2 closes when the control panel is armed and opens when it is disarmed. The OPV relay contacts are switched only in case of alarm. When arming, the sounder is briefly switched on 1 time, and when disarmed, the sounder is briefly switched on 2 times. The sounder activation delay is carried out in the same way as in the centralized arming mode 2.

This mode is used when the control panel operates in conjunction with security radio systems, while the monitoring station2 issues arming and disarming signals to the control panel, and the OPV relay generates an alarm signal.

When the battery is deeply discharged, the alarm on the OPV output is transmitted for 10 seconds. earlier than withdrawal.

The control and monitoring device for security and fire "Quartz" is manufactured by the Russian enterprise "Siberian ARSENAL".

This simple and reliable product, in conjunction with sensors for various purposes, notifies the centralized security console about a violation of the control zone by intruders or a fire. The device works with addressless sensors of various types and types.

Application area

The OPS "Quartz" device provides control of one security zone. It can only work as a fire alarm receiver panel or.

The equipment can function by itself, issuing alarm messages to light and sound sounders.

It can also work with a centralized monitoring station (CMS), notifying it of a fire or penetration into an object by changing the state of the output contacts.

They can be of the "open collector" or "dry contact" type, depending on the version.

The device is applicable in all heated structures, it can function continuously. The design of the apparatus does not allow its use in the mining and petrochemical industries, at flour mills.

Its optimal use is for the protection of summer cottages, apartments, garages, small shops.

The design of the "Quartz" device

The device has a plastic case. The design of the device provides for its wall installation.

On the back cover of the device there are holes for fastening and perforated platforms, which, if necessary, can be broken out and used to enter a network cable, conductors from sensors and light and sound annunciators.

In the "Quartz" fire and security alarm, according to the sensor connection diagram, a matching resistance of 7500 Ohm is installed in the control line.

On the fiberglass sheet, there are all electronic elements and screw pads for connecting input and output signals, sensors and warning devices, power supply cables and a TM key reader. It also contains a self-healing fuse against overloads in the household network, a tamper that informs about the opening of the device's case.

On the front plane of the device, there are light indicators that are located above the inscriptions engraved on the surface with information about the state of the equipment.

To connect external devices, you need to remove the cover, and to install a certain type of operation, you need to close the special connector located on the device board with jumpers.

Functionality

Security and fire device "Quartz" can function in several modes.

With the fire alarm option, the transition of the device from one state to another is made using the Touch Memory keys. In the event of a line failure, the relay contact of the monitoring station2 opens, in case of fire at the monitoring station1.

In the first version, the siren sounds constantly and monotonously, in the second with small pauses.

In the "centralized protection 1" mode, the personnel are given a two-minute pause in order to make sure that the system is up and out of the building. Entry and removal from control are given 10 seconds.

In centralized arming mode 2, the alarm message passes through 2 lines.

With departmental security, the Touch Memory reader is located outside the controlled structure. Everything else is the same as in the first two cases.

When the device is in the monitoring state, the monitoring station1 and monitoring station2 lines are closed. When disarmed, monitoring station2 is disconnected, and monitoring station1 by alarm message.

In case of a strong battery discharge, the alarm signal is transmitted via the monitoring station1 wire for ten seconds before being removed.

The reverse transition to the monitoring state when the siren is turned off and the loop transition to the normal state can occur up to 5 times.

When using the "Quartz" device as a fire alarm with smoke sensors, it is necessary to take into account that the consumed current from the loop cannot exceed 1.5 mA.

In the absence of a voltage of 220 volts, when an alarm message is received, the siren turns on for 1 minute. With a strong discharge of the battery, the device itself is removed from the monitoring state.

To include TM keys in the list of allowed for device control, jumpers on the board are set to the "break" state.

The key touches the port, thus entering its data, which is confirmed by extinguishing all indicators. Memory capacity for 7 Touch memory.

Main technical characteristics

Fire and security alarm "Quartz" can be in four states of operation: removal / setting control, alarm and change the list of keys.

The device can control one loop and issue messages:

  2. "Anxiety";
  3. "Fire";
  4. "Malfunction";
  5. "Nutrition";
  6. "Reserve";
  7. "Discharge";
  8. "Opening".

The line condition is monitored by measuring its resistance. If it is in the range of 3-4.5 kΩ, then it is normal. When the resistance value leaves the corridor 2-5 kOhm, an alarm signal is issued.

The device does not react to deviations in the loop if they were less than 50 ms.

Fire alarm device "Quartz" is operational with line resistance less than 220 Ohm and insulation resistance more than 50 kOhm.

When using security sensors for normal operation, a line resistance of less than 470 Ohm and insulation of more than 20 kOhm is required.

The operating condition of the device remains in the range of -30 + 50 ° С, the permissible air humidity is 93% at 40 ° С.

MTBF is 40,000 hours and service life is 10 years.

With dimensions of 150x185x70 mm, the weight of the device is 2 kg.

The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty.

Installation features

The TM key reader is usually installed at the entrance to the premises. Installation of all communication and power lines is carried out in accordance with the connection diagram and recommended wires.

When installing the battery, observe the polarity. When turning off the device for a long time, you must disconnect the wire from the positive terminal of the battery.

To set the way of using the device, the panel is removed and the required state is set with jumpers J1, J2, J3.

After checking the quality of installation work, testing of the device from 220 volts begins. On the device security and fire "Quartz" instructions are given step by step, everything is described in detail.

Then there is a check when powered only by the battery. The latter tests the ability of the equipment to function with a centralized monitoring panel.

Note! The change in tactics will take effect after the control panel is armed.

When the jumpers J1..J3 are set to other positions, the device does not work, and the “Security-Fault” LED indicator is in blinking mode, with a period of 2 seconds.

The device is supplied by the manufacturer with the "Centralized protection 1" operating tactics.

Preparation for work

Check the correctness of the installation and carry out a functional check of the device with a power supply from the AC mains in the following sequence:

  • put the AL on duty by closing doors, windows, transoms, etc .;
  • arm the device with an electronic key;

if the “Guard-Fault” indicator light and the siren are illuminated with a steady light, then the AL is operational; if the “Fire-Alarm” light indicator and the siren are “blinking”, the AL is faulty.

Correct the AL and repeat arming. Arming / disarming the control panel should not trigger the sounder, regardless of the state of the loop;

  • disarm the device by touching the port with the electronic key, while the light annunciator and indicator lights should go out. Violate the AL - open the front door and leave it open. Arming the device, the light annunciator and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should “blink”. The sounder should not work. Close the front door, while the siren should light up continuously, and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should go out. After three minutes, open the front door. The light annunciator and the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should switch to the “blinking” alarm mode of illumination, the sounder should turn on for 3 minutes. Close the front door, the nature of the alarm should not change. Disarm the device using an electronic key;
  • check the device's ability to record the operation of each detector included in the AL;
  • in the case of using the device as a firefighter, make sure that the device is able to distinguish between a detector actuation and a loop failure. To do this, force the fire detector to be triggered, while the “Fire-Alarm” indicator should glow continuously with red light;
  • by disconnecting the device from the 220V network, make sure that the device is operational when powered from the built-in battery;
  • check the ability of the device to work with the centralized monitoring station.
Fire brigade

In this mode, arming / disarming is performed with an electronic key. The "Guard-Fault" indicator glows green in the armed mode and intermittent green when the alarm loop is malfunctioning. The "Fire-Alarm" indicator glows red when the detectors are triggered.

The ARC2 relay contacts open when the loop is faulty, and the ARC1 relay contacts open when the fire detectors are triggered.

The sound annunciator turns on continuously in case of alarm loop failure and intermittently when fire detectors are triggered.

Before arming the device, close all doors, windows, vents on which the detectors are installed.

Touch the port with the dongle. In this case, the control panel will enter the arming mode for the duration of the two minute delay. In this mode, the AL can be violated many times. The indicators "Guard-Fault", "Fire-Alarm", the contacts of the PCN1 relay and the external light annunciator (lamp) reflect the state of the alarm loop. If the "Protection-Fault" indicator is green and the lamp is on continuously, then the AL is operational. Otherwise, eliminate the loop violation, or wait until the active detectors enter the operating mode. Leave the room and close the door behind you. The lamp should be on continuously.

Upon entering the protected area, the sounder is activated with a 10 second delay.

Use the electronic key to switch the device to the disarming mode. In this case, the indicators "Protection-Fault", "Fire-Alarm", and external sirens are turned off.

This mode differs from the centralized arming mode 1 in that the alarm signal is transmitted via two monitoring station channels.

The signal is sent to the sounder after violation of the loop (door opening), carried out with a delay of 10 seconds, in the presence of a 3.9 kOhm shunt resistor on the door sensor, for disarming. In case of other violations of the AL, the sounder is activated without delay.

Departmental security

The control panel functions similarly to the centralized protection mode, except that the electronic key port is located outside the protected area.

The monitoring station1 line is broken only in the event of an alarm, while the monitoring station2 line is closed when the control panel is armed and opened when it is disarmed. When arming, the sounder is briefly switched on once, and when disarmed, the sounder is briefly switched on twice. The sounder activation delay is carried out in the same way as in the centralized arming mode 2.

This mode can also be used when the control panel is operating in conjunction with security radio systems, for which the monitoring station2 line generates arming and disarming signals for the control panel, and the monitoring station1 line generates an alarm signal.

When the battery is deeply discharged, the alarm is transmitted via the monitoring station1 line earlier than disarming, by 10 seconds.

If electronic sensors are included in the alarm loop of your device, the device may not arm itself immediately, but after the time required to prepare the sensors for operation. Find specific instructions in the description of the sensors you are using. In any case, you have 2 minutes during which the device in the “closed door” mode waits for the sensors to turn on. This time is sufficient in all situations.

You can calculate how many fire smoke detectors are allowed to be included in the AL. By dividing 1.5 mA (such a current can be consumed from the AL) by the current consumed by the detector, you will find out the permissible number of smoke detectors.

Protection in the absence of mains power

If a battery is installed in the device, then in the event of a power failure, it switches to operation from a backup power source. At the same time, in the security mode, the “Network-Reserve” LED indicator flashes at a frequency of 1 Hz. In alarm mode, the bell / siren relay only works for 1 minute. The device provides protection against deep discharge of the battery. When the supply voltage drops to 10.5 ± 0.4 V, the device switches to the disarming mode.

With the previously programmed electronic key, disarm the device or disconnect all power to the device.

To switch the device to the programming mode, set jumpers J1-J3 to the BREAK position and turn on the device power or touch the Touch memory port with the electronic key. Switching of the device to the electronic keys programming mode is indicated by blinking of the light indicators "Guard-Fault", "Fire-Alarm" and "Network-Reserve". If a new key is not entered within one minute, the control panel will automatically return to the disarming mode. Touch the electronic key, the code of which you want to write into the device, the Touch memory port. Reading the key code and storing it in the device's memory is confirmed by the extinguishing of all light indicators and the sound signal turning on for a short time. The device switches to the disarming mode. To program the next electronic key, repeat the above sequence. Upon completion of programming, set the jumpers to the position corresponding to the selected tactics.

When programming more than seven electronic keys, entering each new key code will replace the code of the first key, out of seven previously programmed electronic keys.

Make sure that it is possible to arm / disarm the device using the programmed electronic keys.

If the electronic key is lost, immediately delete it from the device memory by registering any of the existing keys in all seven memory cells.

The device has the ability to work without using electronic keys, according to the tactics Centralized Security 1. To do this, instead of the Touch memory port, connect a switch to terminals 1,2 of the X2 block. When this circuit is closed, the device is disabled.

Attention!

In this case, turning on and off the alarm system at the facility may be unauthorized.

The device is protected against short circuit of external 12V circuits and siren power supply. In the event of a short circuit of these lines, the device removes the 12 V voltage and then tries to turn it on again with an interval of 10 seconds. In this case, the LED indicator "Protection-Fault" works in a blinking mode with a period of 2 seconds.
