FIPI commentary on the essay on “Indifference and Responsiveness”

Subjects directions "Indifference and responsiveness" orients schoolchildren to understand the diversity of forms of a person’s relationship to the people around him and to the world as a whole.

These relationships can be expressed in the form of indifference to others, unwillingness to pay attention and sympathy to a stranger, or vice versa - in the form of outright empathy for someone, the ability to sincerely rejoice at someone’s successes and achievements.

Both aspects are represented in literature human relations. On the one hand, we meet selfless heroes, ready to respond to other people’s hardships and joys, and on the other, selfish, proud and indifferent characters, concerned only with their own fate.

An example of a final essay on the topic of Indifference and Responsiveness

You can live your life in different ways. Walk with zealous steps over the heads of enemies, friends, strangers and loved ones. Or help your relatives as much as you can, pay attention to the lonely, take care of your home, your street, your city... and, of course, your country.

To be selfish, to only care about oneself - or to feel, support, empathize? Despite the obviousness of the answer, everything is somewhat more complicated than it seems.

Science has proven that only a psychopath - a person with an obvious psychiatric disorder - can be absolutely indifferent and not feel pity for others. These people basically do not understand feelings. Gradually they master the language of mental sensations, moods and emotions. But for them this language is “non-native”; it is needed only for manipulating other people. Even their own children and parents have no spiritual value for individuals suffering from psychopathy. And this is perhaps the most comprehensive and absolute manifestation of indifference.

IN real life indifferent people certainly do not have such radical character traits. Ordinary indifference is a person’s selfishness, indifference, and indifference. This is a focus solely on one’s interests, one’s benefit, one’s opinion. Such people do not want to help, sympathize, support or approve.

In my opinion, the most important problem with the relationship between the categories of indifference and responsiveness is that these character traits have a deep subconscious context. You can explain to an indifferent person that sympathizing, supporting and helping other people is good, positive, creative and love. All this is quite understandable for an indifferent person, but she is driven by completely different thoughts and motives - achieving her own goals, ensuring personal comfort, obtaining her own benefit. An indifferent person accepts all the previously listed synonyms of responsiveness only if it turns out to be beneficial for him. It is this attitude towards others, this way of thinking that forms the basis of a selfish personality. It is almost impossible to change such a person.

The opposite of indifference is responsiveness. This is a character trait that manifests itself in compassion, empathy, sympathy, good nature and attentive attitude towards the lives of others. A responsive person will not be able to pass by someone in need of help. His soul is open, he sincerely empathizes and rejoices for his friends, family and friends. And this brings him true satisfaction and fills him with spiritual strength.

Responsiveness is a positive and creative personality trait. It is an integral component social interaction and progressive development of society. This is one of the most important features due to which human civilization progresses.

Returning to the previously voiced thesis about the low probability of eradicating indifference, it is worth recognizing that responsiveness is a much less stable and indestructible human trait. Under the weight of life's hardships and disappointments, the anger and aggression of others, the sensitivity of the soul becomes callous, sincerity and frankness are replaced by mistrust, and sympathy by hypocrisy. That is why it is so important to form and constantly improve responsiveness in our hearts, to practice goodness in deeds, and in thoughts - openness, sensitivity and empathy.

Theses and arguments for an essay on the topic of Indifference and Responsiveness

1. Indifference and responsiveness to people (strangers or relatives; friends or opponents; simply to those who need help or support). It would be appropriate to consider an indifferent attitude towards other people's troubles and indifference to successes. It will be interesting to compare and contrast the heroes of literary works - philanthropists and misanthropes, egoists and good-natured, sensitive characters).

The topic of indifference in love deserves special attention. Indifference and unrequited feelings are a favorite subject of popular fiction.

2. Indifference and responsiveness to the surrounding world, living and inanimate nature.

3. Indifference and “responsiveness of the soul” to aesthetic values, art and beauty.

4. Indifference and responsiveness as two extremes of human nature. Here we can analyze the forms of extreme manifestation of these properties: indifference - in fatal egoism and indifference, and responsiveness - in fanaticism. A person who is inclined to help in a row, forgetting about himself, often literally “puts the object of his care on his neck.” IN fiction, as in life, there are plenty of such examples. (For example, “The Slut” by A.P. Chekhov or even The Tale of the Little Fish and the Little Fish by A.S. Pushkin).

Indifference is the highest cruelty.
M. Wilson
The worst thing in our world is indifference, indifference and cruelty. Sometimes you look around and involuntarily ask the question: “Where is this world going?” Who will answer this question for me? Why is there so much cruelty and indifference in our world? Visiting various sites, reading people's comments, I am increasingly surprised and horrified at how quickly our society is degrading.
A. Chekhov said: “Indifference is paralysis of the soul, premature death.” People are indifferent to what is happening around them, they just laugh and mock people who have any problems. Let's take, for example, people who are seriously ill, tell me, how can you laugh and mock them? I myself witnessed one such case when teenagers, not children, seemingly already adults, doing everything consciously and, as they say, responsible for their actions, bullied a guy with cerebral palsy in every possible way. They did not pay attention to any attempts on my part to explain to them that this could not be done. Tell me, why are there so many heartless and cruel people in the world? How do their parents raise them so that instead of understanding people capable of compassion, they grow up to be, excuse the expression, such scumbags?
These teenagers forced him to chase them, and he, not realizing that they were just mocking him, tried to catch up with them, which naturally he failed. He believed that they were playing with him, he trusted them, and they... without a drop of compassion, continued their mocking games. What particularly hurt me and was engraved in my memory was the moment when this boy, a child (yes, he really was a child, because he believed people, without the slightest doubt in the purity and sincerity of their actions), during lunch, took his portion , headed towards the table, and at that moment another teenager, older than him, passing by, pushed him and touched him so that this boy dropped his portion from his hands onto the floor, for which, of course, the looking nurses began to shout at him. They called him clumsy, said that his hands grew from the wrong place, everyone laughed at him. You should have seen his face at that moment, there was so much pain, resentment, despair in his eyes that it was impossible to remain indifferent to it. He cried!!! It was at this moment that it was clear that he could no longer restrain himself, he no longer laughed or smiled, as at that moment when he believed that the teenagers were just playing with him, and I don’t think that at that moment he understood, who was really at fault for dropping the plate. I think he only blamed himself for what happened.
People, come to your senses! What are you doing? Where it leads? This is the natural degradation of society, don’t you understand that? Try to put yourself in the shoes of these people, and what would happen if they mocked or laughed at you like that? I don't think it would be good for you. They are the same people, but, unfortunately, few people will really be imbued with my appeal and share my resentment for the fact that in our world there really are a lot of cruel, indifferent people and, unfortunately, their number is increasing every day.

God will punish us for bad things, and the devil will punish us for good things. And both are for indifference.

We put our own troubles above everyone else, we only feel sorry for ourselves in this life... Villainous unworn sayings about indifference

Rest assured, if, God forbid, you happen to fall off a mountain or drown in the sea, the first person you see will not be Baywatch. No no. "No one owes nothing to nobody!" - a simple barbaric saying going over the heads...

Indifference is the highest cruelty.

Indifference is a terrible disaster of our time. People are increasingly not paying attention to other people's problems. They show no initiative to help. This behavior is becoming the norm. But for a person, indifference on the part of people around him is sometimes worse than any bad deeds on their part. Wilson wrote that indifference is the highest cruelty.

I completely agree with him, because I believe that indifference is worse than hatred and malice. Families are breaking up due to the indifference of spouses. Indifference is worse than cruelty, because no warmth appears in the soul, and it becomes dead.

Confirmation of these words can be found in many famous literary works. As an example, I will give Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol’s story “The Overcoat”. The writer talks about the titular adviser Bashmachkin, who is engaged in rewriting papers. To buy an overcoat, Akaki Akakievich saves on everything. But after the purchase, his overcoat is stolen. He turned to whomever he asked for help, but no one helped him find his overcoat. Bashmachkin catches a cold, and still no one helps him.

He subsequently dies. Thus, the indifference of the people around him brought the man to death. After all, if they had helped him find his overcoat, he would not have gotten sick, and therefore would not have died.

You can also bring literary work Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky “Crime and Punishment.” This novel contrasts gloomy and gray St. Petersburg with its indifferent society and Sonya and Raskolnikov. During his first visit to the Marmeladovs, Raskolnikov cannot remain indifferent to how they live, so he leaves them money. Dunya is going to marry Luzhin for convenience in order to help her brother pay for his studies. But Raskolnikov saves her from such a life. Luzhin is absolutely indifferent to everyone and thinks only about money and his career. Amalia Ivanovna does not feel sorry for the Marmeladovs at all, and after the death of Semyon Marmeladov, she kicks Katerina Ivanovna and the children out of the apartment. Sonya, having learned that Raskolnikov killed the old woman, tries to morally support him and goes with him to hard labor. Sonya and Raskolnikov, despite the indifferent society surrounding them, did not become as indifferent. If people had been more sympathetic, many of the tragedies shown in the novel could have been avoided.

Thus, I confirmed Wilson's words that indifference is the highest cruelty. Indifference on the part of other people can lead to death. Evil is obvious, and people are trying to fight it. Indifference is more secretive and not punishable, but sometimes the consequences are much more dire. People need to be compassionate so that more good deeds can be done in the world.
