Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet assigned three rescuers to the star, and she coped with the task.

Rupert Grint, fear of spiders

The fear of spiders does not allow Harry Potter star Rupert Grint to sleep peacefully: before going to bed, the actor always checks for these insects in the room. Rupert cannot explain his phobia in any way, and moreover, trips to psychics and psychologists have not cured the guy of his obsessive fear. However, it was this phobia that helped the actor better get used to the character of Ron Weasley, whom the writer JK Rowling also endowed with a panicky fear of spiders.

Kristen Stewart, fear of horses

Actress Kristen Stewart's phobia also comes from her childhood: at the age of seven, she fell from a horse and broke her arm. From that time on, the actress tried to avoid meeting animals until she was invited to the film Snow White and the Huntsman. According to the plot, her heroine had to ride a horse, so, with the support of trainers and sedative pills, the actress forgot about her fear for a while.

Max Barskikh, fear of frogs

Singer Max Barskikh told us a whole story about his phobia: “I remember very well that warm spring evening in my native Kherson. I think I was five or six years old. My friends and I were walking in the yard in search of the next adventure. Well, the adventure was not long in coming. It jumped out onto the road from the bushes. It was a big brown toad. Naturally, we all rushed to catch her, but only I was “lucky”: I grab her, and she bites me. Toad. Bites your finger! I then simply threw it away. And I would have forgotten about the story if after some time a wart had not appeared on the bitten finger. I tormented my parents with the question “what is this?”, and my parents tormented me with attempts to get her out. Since then, the sight of a jumping greenish-brown amphibian has caused me only one reaction - to move away and not touch it. It’s interesting that I treat images of toads quite calmly. The main thing is that it is not real and does not jump! Well, during my trip to Thailand, I tried all the local delicacies - I ate grasshoppers, locusts, scorpions, and beetles. But I didn’t dare try a frog (even a frog!).”

Phobias are irrational, uncontrollable and obsessive fears that affect millions of people around the world. And famous Hollywood stars are no exception. They suffer not only from completely harmless claustrophobia, which occurs in every second inhabitant of the planet, but also from phobias that are an order of magnitude more unusual. It could also be an unjustified fear of old furniture, completely harmless pigs, or indoor plants. So, today about those strange phobias that prevent the famous and famous from living.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen's fear of horses is understandable and justified - when she was 9 years old, the girl fell while riding and broke her elbow. She admitted this at a press conference dedicated to the film “Snow White and the Huntsman.” It's not hard to imagine how difficult it was for her to perform the many horse riding scenes in this film.

This is what she herself said during her interview:

I just tried to abstract myself. I wanted to be in the film so badly that I thought, if I have to die because of a horse, so be it.

Kristen honestly took horse riding lessons before filming and showed herself well in the film as a rider. For the sake of a good role, she was able to overcome herself and film hundreds of takes in the saddle, but her fear of horses never went away.

Orlando Bloom

The fearless elf and pirate on the screens are not so brave in real life. Orlando has suffered from a strange phobia all his life - he is afraid of pigs. Johnny Depp

Having appeared on the screen in a whole string of strange images - vampires, pirates, crazy people - Johnny Depp managed to earn himself a very strange phobia. The actor himself doesn’t know what exactly influenced his fear of clowns, but he honestly admits:

I hung pictures of clowns everywhere, even though they scare me. I thought that if I surrounded myself with them, the fear would go away.

Tyra Banks

But TV presenter and model Tyra Banks experiences a terrible fear of waves of harmless dolphins. For some reason, cute, smart and kind animals that save people in the ocean inspire panic in Tyra. In one of her shows, the supermodel honestly tried to overcome her phobia - she went to a dolphinarium, where she had the opportunity to swim with these wonderful animals. Tyra is very proud of this act and admits:

Now I hope I don't panic when I see a dolphin while snorkeling, and I don't swallow water and drown

Nicole Kidman

The famous actress once admitted that she has been afraid of butterflies all her life. Why she didn’t like the most beautiful creatures on the planet remains unknown. But the star has been afraid of them literally since childhood and even tried to overcome her fear:

I went into a butterfly cage at the American Museum of Natural History and they were sitting on me, but that didn't help. I've had to jump out of planes, had cockroaches crawling on me - I've done a lot of things, but butterflies are too much for me

David Beckham

The most famous football player and renowned sex symbol of the planet, David Beckham, also has his skeletons in his closet. Literally. His fear is directly related to cabinets and other furniture, because he has a very unusual phobia - the fear of disorder. In the world of science, there is even a special abstruse term for such a phenomenon, “ataxophobia.” The footballer's wife, Victoria, once admitted to reporters that her husband does not tolerate even a hint of disorder, his wardrobe is always clean, and his clothes are sorted by color.

Oprah Winfrey

One of the most successful and famous TV presenters on American television also has an unusual phobia with the strange name “chiclephobia.” Under this incomprehensible word lies an even more incomprehensible phobia - the fear of chewing gum. Oprah herself admitted that this fear comes from childhood, since her grandmother strictly forbade her granddaughter to try harmful chewing gum. The star never allows her studio guests to chew gum, and this rule is always strictly observed during her show.

The famous musician and actor suffers from several phobias at once: fear of antique furniture and bright, saturated colors. I'm afraid to imagine what could happen to Billy if two of his fears are combined in one object.

The actor himself admits that he is particularly hampered by his second fear of antique furniture. One day the musician found himself in an old restaurant, completely furnished with rarities, and in such an environment he not only could not eat, but also began to choke.

Pamela Anderson

But the spectacular and busty blonde cannot calmly look in the mirror. And for such a strange phobia, scientists came up with their own name - eisoptrophobia. All people have their own reasons for the appearance of such unexpected fear. but in the case of Pamela, you should not look for any mystical overtones. America's sex symbol simply doesn't like his reflection:

Yes, I have such a phobia, I don’t like mirrors. I also don't like watching myself on TV. If I see myself on the screen, I just change the channel or leave the room.

Among his weirder fears are bright colors, elevators, animals, the stage, children, cancer and other diseases, and even peanut butter sticking to the roof of his mouth. He is also afraid to take a shower if the drain is in the middle, and always cuts a banana into exactly 7 pieces before adding it to his morning cereal.

Fears of spiders, heights, or snakes are not new, but there are much rarer phobias, such as the fear of gum, water, or antique furniture. Let's take a look at the weirdest celebrity phobias, from Kristen Stewart's fear of horses to Nicole Kidman's fear of butterflies.

(Total 11 photos)

1. Kristen Stewart and horses

Snow White and the Huntsman will star a warrior version of the princess who fights for her life rather than just hibernating and waiting to be kissed. But how did she overcome her fear of horses on the set of the film? The actress admitted that the scenes on horses were the hardest for her, as she “hates them.” Apparently, this fear took root since childhood, when young Stewart fell from her horse. “I broke my elbow when I was 9 years old,” Kristen says. But to overcome this fear, Kristen had to call on all the fearlessness of Snow White to help. “I just tried not to think about it. I wanted to do the film so badly that I thought, okay, if I'm going to die because of a horse, okay." (Tilak Desai/Splash News)

2. Billy Bob Thornton and antique furniture

Billy Bob Thornton must have been a pretty tough guy. After all, he wore a flask with Angelina Jolie’s blood around his neck, spoke openly about their sexual games and gave her a piece of land in the cemetery. And this is in the most “romantic” moments. Considering all this, his phobia of antique furniture seems a little...odd. As do his other phobias, such as fear of Komodo dragons, plastic utensils and airplanes. Although, as the actor claims, there is a rational explanation for his fears. “Let's start with Komodo dragons. They have terrible poisonous bacteria in their mouths. If they bite you, you will immediately go blind. Who will like it? He also explained that it is only antique French furniture that makes him feel uncomfortable. “I don’t have a phobia of American antique furniture, only French. For example, large old gold chairs with velvet cushions. Like furniture from the time of Louis XIV. This makes me feel uneasy. I can spot a fake from a mile away. They don't have that kind of atmosphere. And not much dust." (Getty Images)

3. Pamela Anderson and mirrors

With her seductive forms and blonde hair, the former “savior of Malibu” Pamela Anderson once drove men crazy. However, Pam herself did not seem to share their enthusiasm. The actress suffers from eisoptrophobia, that is, the fear of mirrors. “Yes, I have this phobia, I don’t like mirrors,” Pamela admits. “And I don’t like watching myself on TV.” If I see one of my films, I change the channel or just leave the room.” (Getty Images)

4. Orlando Bloom and pigs

In The Lord of the Rings, Orlando Bloom played a fearless elf who could turn the battle with terrible orcs into a kind of game. But Legolas the elf and Orlando Bloom the actor are two completely different personalities. If Legolas could look into the eyes of Sauron without fear, then Orlando cannot even bear the sight of... pigs. On the set of the film Kingdom of Heaven, Bloom chose to hastily leave when one of the pigs ran out of the pen. (Getty Images)

5. Nicole Kidman and butterflies

As strange as Orlando Bloom's fear of pigs may seem, it seems quite normal compared to Nicole Kidman's fear of butterflies. The Moulin Rouge actress has been afraid of these insects since childhood. “If I came home from school and saw that a butterfly was sitting on the gate, I crawled under it, climbed over to the other side, in general, I did everything to avoid going through the main gate. “I tried to overcome my fear,” says Nicole. “I went into a butterfly cage at the American Museum of Natural History and they sat on me, but it didn’t work.” I've jumped out of planes, I've had cockroaches crawl on me, I've done a lot of things, but butterflies are too much for me.” (Getty Images)

6. Christina Ritchie and indoor plants

Christina Ritchie isn't afraid of ghosts, but she has problems with houseplants. The actress considers them “dirty” and simply “goes crazy” around them. In addition to botanophobia (as the disease is scientifically called), the actress is also afraid of pools and sharks. (Getty Images)

7. Tyra Banks and dolphins

The competition between models in the world of show business seems much less severe than Tyra Banks' fear of... dolphins. On an episode of her show in 2006, Tyra decided to talk about her models' phobias (and her own fear, too). While one model had to endure birds flying overhead and another had to eat ketchup, Tyra took to the underwater world to “conquer her own fear.” “You think dolphins are cute, but I don’t think so,” admits the model. – I feel fear and excitement even when I talk about dolphins. However, after a trip to the dolphinarium, where Tyra swam with dolphins and even kissed them, she said she learned to “control” her fear. “Now I think that when I see a dolphin while snorkeling, I won’t panic, swallow water and drown.” (AP Photo)

8. Oprah and bubblegum

From an early age, the talk show diva suffered from chiclephobia - the fear of chewing gum. Obviously, this phobia came from her grandmother’s terrible habit: “My grandmother kept chewing gum in the closet. I wasn't allowed to touch it because the closet was so big, so I developed a fear of gum." Oprah is so afraid of gum that she forbids chewing it in her studio...and at home too. “Once one of my guests took chewing gum out of her mouth during dinner and put it on her plate. When she left, I just threw the plate away,” Winfrey admits. (AP Photo; Corbis)

9. Carmen Electra and water

Carmen Electra is afraid of water, although, apparently, not so much that she refused to star in the TV series “Baywatch,” which made her famous. “I start to panic near water,” Electra admits. (Jeff Kravitz, FilmMagic/Getty Images; Mark A. Johnson/Corbis)

10. Johnny Depp and the clowns

For a man who played Willy Wonka and Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp developed a rather strange fear - a fear of clowns. But he's working on it. “I hung posters of clowns and drawings everywhere, because they scare me,” the actor admits. “I thought if I surrounded myself with them, it would take away my fear.” (Marc Piasecki, FilmMagic/Getty Images; Bob Krist/Corbis)

11. Woody Allen and...everyone

There are strange celebrity phobias, and then there is Woody Allen. The actor and director has created some of the strangest and most neurotic characters, but even the craziest of his heroes will seem like mere angels compared to the real Allen. His phobias range from the understandable (insects, heights, cancer, crowds) to the very strange ( sunlight, bright colors, children, deer). His fear of living anywhere outside of Manhattan was conveyed to one of the characters in his film Annie Hall. This obsession with death also takes its roots from the personality of the real Alain. “I remember when I was 6 or 8 years old, I would go to bed in the dark and think, ‘Someday I’m going to die,’” Allen says. He also doesn't like transport. “I don’t take elevators, I don’t go through tunnels.” He also hates bathrooms. “I like the shower drain to be in the corner rather than in the middle.” And don't even ask about his fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of his mouth.
