Allah tests his beloved slaves. Why does Allah test His slaves? Allah sends problems to protect us from mistakes

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent and the Merciful!

In previous articles, we have already touched upon the issue that Allah tests believing slaves with various troubles in this life. He Himself speaks directly about this:

“...We subject you to moderate trials of fear, hunger, loss of property, people and fruits (i.e. crops). Give joy to those who are patient, who, when misfortune befalls them, say: “Truly, we all belong to Allah and to Him we return!” They are those upon whom the blessings of their Lord and mercy descend, and they are guided to the right path” (Quran, 2:155-157).

From these noble verses we understand why Allah needs such tests. With their help, He accustoms Muslims to patience, which is one of the characteristic features God-fearing man:

“Indeed, every person will suffer a loss (in the Hereafter) except those who believe, do righteous deeds, command one another with the Truth, and command one another with patience” (Quran, 103:2-3).

By filling the hearts of Muslims with patience, Allah prepares them for the great “test of the grave”, i.e. to a severe examination immediately after death, when people will be briefly questioned about who and how they worshiped. Only those whom Allah spoke about above - those with faith, knowledge, righteous deeds and patience - will be able to pass it successfully. In the same way, school spends 11 years preparing a person for final exams, on the results of which much in his future life depends.

Having understood this, we will understand the meaning of the prophetic hadith: “Whoever Allah wishes well, He tests him.”(al-Bukhari). Allah loves believers and slaves obedient to Him, wishing them eternal pleasures in Paradise, and therefore turns their earthly journey into many years of preparation for the test of the grave. This is similar to how parents send their child to school without allowing him to have fun outside with his friends all day, precisely because they love him and want him to succeed in school. adult life.

The tests of Allah are not only the troubles experienced by a Muslim, but also the duties that He has assigned to him (for example, daily prayer five times a day). At the same time, Allah shows the highest wisdom - He knows perfectly well the capabilities of His slaves, and therefore does not confront them with unbearable problems:

“Allah does not burden the soul beyond its capabilities.”(Quran, 2:286);

“...do not despair of the mercy of Allah! Indeed, only unbelievers despair of Allah’s mercy.”(Quran, 12:87);

“Truly, with every difficulty comes relief. Truly, behind every difficulty there is relief.”(Quran, 94:5-6).

Thus, the Almighty does not burden people with impossible orders and prohibitions and does not send righteous slaves such misfortunes that they cannot endure without becoming disappointed in Him and His religion. Allah completely leaves without help and support only those who deny His revelations and laws or grossly distort them:

“If the inhabitants of the villages believed and became God-fearing, We would open before them (the gates of) grace from heaven and earth. But they considered it a lie, and We seized (i.e. punished) them for those (sins) that they had accumulated. Were the inhabitants of the villages not afraid that Our punishment would overtake them at night when they were sleeping? Weren’t the residents of the villages afraid that Our punishment would overtake them in the morning while they were having fun?” (Quran, 7:96-98);

“How many generations before them We destroyed! Do you feel the presence of any of them or hear their whispers? (Quran, 19:98).

However, Allah can punish the infidels not only with disastrous disasters, but also with an extremely carefree and problem-free life in this world:

“Leave Me alone with those who consider this story to be a lie. We will entice them without them even realizing it” (Quran, 68:44);

“Never perform the (funeral) prayer for any of them (the hypocrites who pretended to be Muslims) and do not stand over his grave, because they did not believe in Allah and His Messenger and died as wicked people. Do not let their property and children admire you. Allah only wants to punish them in this way in this world so that they part with their souls, being disbelievers” (Quran, 9:84-85);

“Neither wealth nor children will help those who disbelieve in the sight of Allah. They will become the inhabitants of the Fire and will remain there forever” (Quran, 3:116).

And the Lord of the Worlds warned Muslims not to be overly carried away by the blessings and beauties of this world, forgetting about eternal life:

“O you who believe! Let your wealth and your children not distract you from the remembrance of Allah. And those who do this will be the losers” (Quran, 63:9);

“Truly, your wealth and your children are a temptation. Allah has a great reward in store for you. Therefore, fear Allah to the best of your ability, listen, obey and spend (property) for your own good (i.e. for righteous purposes). And those who protect themselves from their own stinginess are successful” (Quran, 64:15-16);

“Be patient with those who call on their Lord in the morning and before sunset and strive for His Face. Do not turn your gaze away from them, desiring the beauties of this world, and do not obey those whose hearts We have made negligent of Our Reminder, who indulge their passions and whose deeds (on the Day of Judgment) will be in vain” (Quran, 18:28);

“Give them a parable about worldly life. She is like the water that We send down from the sky. Earthly plants are filled with it, and then turn into dry blades of grass, scattered by the wind. Indeed, Allah is capable of anything. Wealth and sons are the adornment of this worldly life, but imperishable good deeds are better in reward before your Lord, and it is better to place your hopes on them” (Quran, 18:45-46).

So, we come to the conclusion that Allah tests His servants with both grief and joy. And only one who endures difficult moments of his life for the sake of Allah, without despairing of His mercy, but in moments of happiness thanks Him and remains internally prepared for new problems can be called a true believer:

“Truly, man was created impatient - restless when trouble touches him, and stingy (in gratitude) when good touches him. The exception is those who pray (Muslims) and perform their prayers regularly” (Quran, 70:19-23).

And therefore the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said great words:

“How amazing is the position of the believer! Verily, everything in his situation is good for him, and this is not given to anyone except the believer: if something pleases him, he thanks (Allah), and it becomes good for him, but if grief befalls him, he shows patience, and this also becomes a blessing for him.”(Muslim). (I note that he reported the verses of the Koran to people verbatim, while the prophetic hadiths are his retelling of the revelations of Allah in free form)

And may Allah bless our Prophet, his family and companions.

I was very surprised when, while studying the topic of testing a person by Allah Almighty, I found a huge number of verses from the Holy Quran where this is talked about. As many different tests as a person goes through in his life, there are just as many verses confirming that all this comes from our Creator.

The Almighty Himself in some verses swears that He will test His servants. Allah Almighty tests us, people, how much we believe in Him, how strong our faith (iman) is, how patient, humble we are before His decision and are content with what He has determined for us.

Of course, it is difficult for a person to accept pain and suffering. We are too sinful and weak. Sometimes it seems to us that we will not be able to survive the troubles that open before us. But! It is very important to consider how aware we are of the will of the Creator. We are used to thanking Allah and doing shukra when we feel good, but when we feel bad, we immediately start thinking: “Why do we need this? What have I done? One of the pillars of iman is the belief in predestination of fate, that everything good and bad happens according to the will of our Creator. We are used to taking good things for granted and disagreeing with bad things. Then the question arises: how do we believe in the predestination of fate? Our faith is flawed, because we do not obey the decision made by the Almighty. While we make shukra to Him in joy, we should thank Him in the same way in sorrow. Allah knows best what is good for us at a given time.

There is a hadith that says that the Almighty tests His beloved slaves. When you realize this, your soul becomes lighter. These words are a kind of self-soothing, because pain is difficult to accept, but a Muslim should try in every possible way to see this as a benefit for himself.

Allah Almighty says in the Quran (meaning): “ Do people really think that they will be left alone and not put to the test just because they say: “We believe”? We also tested those who lived long before them. For Allah knows in advance those who are truthful and those who are false. "(Surah Al-Ankabut, verses 2–3).

It is not our merit that we are Muslims and believe in One God. This is just His great mercy to us. Our task is to justify this trust and be Muslims. And sincerity comes through trials.

Like strength family relations is tested both in joy and in sorrow, just as our submission and humility to Allah is tested through trials. And happy is the one who was able to overcome them with dignity, because the result of this is the strengthening of faith, and therefore the Almighty’s satisfaction with us, inshaAllah.

The Almighty says (meaning): “ We will certainly test you with minor fear, hunger, loss of property, people and fruits. Give joy to those who are patient... "(Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 155).

How many times in our lives have we experienced fear? How many mothers on earth rack their brains every day about what to feed their children today? But aren’t there businessmen and entrepreneurs who went bankrupt or whose property was simply stolen? Are there those among us who have not lost their closest people?

Each of us goes through this kind of test. The only question is how patiently we move along this difficult path.

How do we accept this pain? As a rule, words like “I will punish the one who ruined me”, or “I’d rather steal, kill, but I won’t starve”, or “why did he die, it would be better if I did”, etc.

Why don’t we answer like this: “my property was not stolen, it was taken by someone who needs it more,” or “today there is a piece of bread, alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, who gives rizq (food),” or “since Allah took my a loved one, which means He needs him more, why does he need to live in this dirty, meaningless world?

It all depends on ourselves, how much we can discern the good, but it certainly exists, even if it is too veiled.

« Time is the best doctor“, - people say. To realize any misfortune, time is the best medicine. Everything returns to normal, and after every difficulty comes relief. This is what the Koran says, so there can be no doubt about it.

We are not the only ones who are being tested; we are not the first and we are not the last. The very first man - Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) - and his wife Chava were subject to the test. Other prophets also went through difficulties. If our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went through all the hardships, won't we? Must. It was much more difficult for the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) than for us.

Our earthly stay is one big test. We were sent here not for fun and entertainment, but in order to go through this difficult path in order to get what we deserve in Akhirat. By and large, it is in our interests to accept any misfortune with dignity, otherwise it may cost us too much in the next life, which will be Eternal! It is here that we live for 60–70 years, this is absolutely nothing compared to Akhirat - there is infinity, and we must deserve either heavenly pleasure or eternal torment. We are faced with a choice, and no one will make it for us! We are alone, face to face with life's trials, it is up to us to decide. Relatives and friends can help and advise, but the final word and action is ours.

We rejoice when we receive an excellent mark in an exam at school or university, but how we strive to earn it! But when the question concerns faith and humility, we give up, and what a slack... Earthly life is not worth it, it is the main exam for us, for which a Muslim should prepare carefully and pass it without retaking, the first time and with excellent marks.

The Companions and the Prophet himself (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) suffered a lot at the hands of unbelievers, but they showed us unsurpassed patience until Allah sent them consolation. The hadith states that " patience is the key to heaven " These words should become key words when solving complex problems. Great people, scientists say: “ Win by losing" In fact, this is so, it’s just that understanding this comes with experience, over the years.

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “ A Muslim man or woman will be constantly tested in his body, property and children until he meets Allah pure without any sin "(narrated by Imam Ahmad from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him).

Allah does not place on our shoulders more than we can bear. And may Allah help us not to be among those about whom He speaks in holy quran(meaning): " When any calamity befalls a person, he calls upon Us. When We grant him any mercy from Us, he says : « This was given for my knowledge.” No! It was a test, but most people don't know about it "(Surah Az-Zumar, verse 49)! Amine.

Muslimat Radzhabova

Why does the Almighty test us with difficulties?

Problems are an integral part of our existence, which each of us faces every day. But our attitude towards them is different: depending on how we perceive them, problems either suppress or make us stronger and become the key to new doors and opportunities. Everything that the Almighty sends down to man has a great meaning. Very often we focus on the negative side of the problem without noticing it reverse side, in which goodness may be hidden. We should not forget that life is a test that each of us must go through, and along with it, its difficulties and problems. Allah may send us difficulties and problems for the following reasons:

1. Allah guides us through difficulties

Very often, a difficulty that seemed overwhelming to us ultimately leads us to something better - to better work, to a better environment, to better conditions. Difficulties force us to pull ourselves together and change the situation in which we find ourselves, and lead to great benefits. Problems become a pointer to which direction we should move and motivate us to achieve success. In this case, the difficulty and problem are a guide to life, which ultimately leads a person to where he should be, who he should be with and who he should be.

2. Allah tests us through problems and difficulties

The world is not perfect, everyone faces their own problems every day. Remember that our lives are a test for us.“We test you with good and evil for the sake of temptation.”(Quran, 21: 35). The purpose of life in this mortal world is not a carefree existence full of happiness and joy, but our worship, which is daily work that concerns all aspects of a person’s life, including overcoming life’s adversities. Without the difficulties of this world, happiness in the eternal world is impossible. When faced with problems, do not forget about the sweetness of the blessing for overcoming it.

3. Allah sends problems to protect us from mistakes.

We learn many lessons through pain and failure. The Almighty knows and sees everything, He alone knows everything. We see only the trial itself and the pain, but we do not know more. Allah knows what is best for His servant and protects them through trials.

4. Allah sends problems to protect us

A problem can become a real blessing, preventing something more serious from happening. It may also be that your destiny is destined for failure, and of all the difficulties, Allah sends you the least, thereby protecting you from misfortune. Therefore, if the slightest problem arises, think that perhaps Allah has saved you from grief and be grateful for sending down this difficulty. Accepting difficulty as something inevitable will bring you rewards and the pleasure of the Almighty. The test is also from the Almighty, it must be accepted with dignity.

5. Allah sends problems to make us better.

The world is not perfect, and neither are we. But man, being a creation of a perfect Creator, must strive to be better. How will difficulties and problems help us with this? Each correctly accepted test develops in us the best qualities, which are subsequently consolidated in life. The Almighty wants the believer to be perfect and tests Him. As a result, every problem makes us stronger, wiser and more experienced. But only if a person does not get hung up on despair.

And remember that every difficulty and problem develops in us one of best qualities Every believer has patience. Be one of the patient believers and accept the difficulties of life with dignity.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings of Allah be upon our prophet Muhammad, members of his family and all his companions!

Truly, following passions is the greatest disaster both for a person’s worldly life and for his religion. And in order to understand the danger and depravity of passion, it is enough that Allah Almighty compared the following of passions with a deity who is worshiped along with Him. Turning to His prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and surprising him, Allah Almighty said: “Have you seen the one who took passion as his deity?!” (al-Furqan 25: 43).
Following passions is what causes delusion, as Allah Almighty said: “And do not follow passions, otherwise they will lead you astray from the path of Allah.”(Garden 38:26).
Allah Almighty also said: “Who can be more misguided than he who follows his own passions without the sure guidance of Allah?”(al-Qasas 28: 50).
Moreover, those who follow their passions mislead not only themselves, but also others! Allah Almighty said: “Verily, many are deceived by their passions without knowledge.”(al-An'am 5: 119).
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “ Three things are ruin: greed that is obeyed; passion that is followed; and a person’s admiration for himself.” at-Tabarani 54/52, al-Qada'i 325. The hadith is good. See Sahih al-Jami' 3039, 3045.
Also, following passions is one of the main causes of split and hostility in the Islamic community, as the salaf spoke about in the early years of Islam. Abul-‘Aliya said:" Beware of passions that cause enmity and hatred between people!” al-Ajurri in “al-Shari’a” 61.
It is reported that Ibn Mas'ud said: " Truly, you are now in a time when there are many fuqihs and few speakers, few who ask and many who give, and actions are guided by passions. But a time will come after you when there will be few fuqihs and many speakers, asking a lot and giving little, and passion at that time will guide affairs. So know that following the right path at the end of time will be better than some righteous deeds!” al-Bukhari in “al-Adabul-mufrad” 2/258. Hafiz Ibn Hajar called the isnad authentic. See “Fathul-Bari” 10/510.
Hafiz Ibn 'Abdul-Barr said: " The truth of Ibn Mas'ud's words has been confirmed in our days, as a sign" See “al-Iztiskar” 6/345.
If everything that Ibn Mas’ud said, including the fact that passion at that time will guide affairs, was confirmed during the time of Ibn ‘Abdul-Barr, who lived 1000 years ago, then what can be said about our time?! After all, how many Muslims these days, unfortunately, are guided by passion and emotions, and not by the Koran and Sunnah!
Also, passion is something for protection from which the prophet himself (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) resorted to Allah, who said: “O Allah! Truly, I resort to You for protection from blameworthy qualities, deeds, passions and illnesses!» at-Tirmidhi, at-Tabarani. The hadith is authentic. See Sahih al-Jami' 1298.

اللهم إني أعوذ بك من منكرات الأخلاق و الأعمال و الأهواء و الأدواء

(Allahumma inni a'uzubika min munkaratil-ahlyak, wal-a'mal, wal-ahua, wal-adua)

As for those who restrained their passion, the Almighty God promised them Paradise, as stated in the Koran: “For those who were afraid to appear before their Lord and restrained themselves from passions, Paradise will be their refuge!”(an-Nazi'at 79: 40-41).
Having familiarized ourselves with these texts of the Qur'an and Sunnah regarding the dangers of following passion, we need to know what does following passion mean?
Many Muslims mistakenly believe that following passion is doing what is pleasant and pleasing to the soul, as they say, “indulging in pleasure” in the form of using intoxicants, committing adultery, etc. However, passion has a broader meaning, and what is mentioned is only one of the meanings of the concept of passion! First of all, “following passion” means choosing as a guide in matters of religion not the Koran and Sunnah, but something that contradicts them, even if these are the words of some recognized imams. Hafiz Ibn Rajab said: " Sins are committed due to the fact that passions are given preference over love for Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! And innovations occur due to the fact that passions are given preference over Sharia, and this is more dangerous! After all, it is for this reason that adherents of innovation were called adherents of their passions!” See “Jami’ul-‘ulumi wal-hikam” 389.
Imam al-Munawi , commenting on hadiths that contain warnings against destructive passion, said: “This means following innovations or blind adherence to errant opinions!” See “Faydul-Qadir” 1/426.
Every Muslim must know that there are only two leaderships, and this is knowledge or passion, and there is no third! Allah Almighty said: “And who could be more misguided than the one who follows his passions without true guidance from Allah?”(al-Qasas 28: 50).
Sheikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: " Everyone who does not follow knowledge follows passion!” See “al-Amru bil-ma'ruf” 37.
Sheikh Ibn al-Qayyim said: “Allah has divided matters into two types, and there is no third. Either following what came from Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), or following passion. And any thing that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not come with is passion" See “I’lyamul-muakyi’in” 1/81.
These words are precisely a refutation to those who believe that following a passion is only what gives a person pleasure and suits him. However, this is not so, for passion is everything that does not correspond to knowledge, even if it is a very difficult act associated with worship and brings suffering to a person!
Sheikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: “It is necessary to know that the pleasure and love of Allah cannot be gained by inflicting torture on oneself and striving for difficulties. Some ignorant people believe that the more difficult the deed, the better it is, and that the magnitude of the reward always depends on the degree of difficulty. No! This is a completely wrong belief! The amount of reward for an action depends on the benefit it brings" See “Majmu'ul-Fataawa” 25/281.
Difficulties and self-inflicted suffering do not indicate the correctness of worship or action. Shariah does not look at the difficulty of the matter, but at the correctness and benefit. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily, this religion is easy, but if anyone begins to complicate it, it will certainly prevail over him" al-Bukhari 39.
Anas said: “ One day, when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw an old man walking, supported by his two sons, he asked: “What’s wrong with him?” His sons said: “He made a vow to walk on the Hajj.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah does not need him to subject himself to torture,” and ordered him to sit on horseback.” al-Bukhari 1865, Muslim 1642.
Ibn ‘Abbas also said : “Once, when the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering a sermon (khutbah), he saw a man standing and asked about him. The people said: “This is Abu Israel, who took a vow to stand in the sun without hiding in the shade, not to sit down, not to talk, and at the same time to fast.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Tell him to talk, take cover in the shade and sit down, and let him complete his fast.”" al-Bukhari 6704.
Thus, it becomes clear to us the fallacy of everyone who justifies their actions by saying that they are difficult and difficult. After all, the Kharijites became the first adherents of their passions in Islam not because they committed passions in terms of satisfying their desires, such as adultery, etc. because they considered these to be sins that made a person an infidel. But at the same time, these people, despite the difficulties that they experienced, are the leaders of the adherents of their passions. After all, passion in the form of committing sinful things to which the soul is inclined is less dangerous than passion in matters of religion! Sheikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: “Following passion in matters of religion is much worse than following passion in satisfying one's sinful desires! Verily, the first type of passion is that through which the People of the Book and the polytheists fell into unbelief!” See “Majmu'ul-Fataua” 28/132.
Based on everything stated above, it becomes clear that PASSION is everything that is not guided by the truth! And as for the one who took passion as a basis, and not the Koran and Sunnah, in the understanding of the salaf, he will only suffer a loss, despite the severity of the worship he performs! The caliph spoke the truth ‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-‘Aziz: “Whoever worships Allah without knowledge does more harm than good" Ahmad in “az-Zuhd” 365. Isnad is reliable.

Praise be to Allah and blessings on His Messenger (peace be upon him), his family and companions! Allah Almighty said:

“We will certainly test you with minor fear, hunger, loss of property, people and fruits. Give joy to those who are patient, who, when trouble befalls them, say: “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we will return.” They receive the blessings of their Lord and mercy. They follow the straight path" (2:155-157).

Another verse says: “Or did you think that you would enter Paradise without experiencing what befell your predecessors? They were struck by poverty and disease. They experienced such shocks that the Messenger and those who believed with him said: “When will Allah’s help come?” Indeed, Allah’s help is near” (2:214).

This verse is proof that every person will be tested and no one will enter Paradise without being tested. When a person faces difficulties and trials, he, as a believer, is required to have faith in the purpose of Allah, that everything is according to the establishment of the Almighty, and that along with trials comes His mercy and relief. Everyone will be tested, even the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was subjected to many tests, and the level of testing depends on the level of iman of the believer.

The hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) says: “The prophets are tested most of all people, then those who were closer to them (by their faith), then those who were closer to them. And a person is tested in accordance with the degree of his religion (faith). If he was steadfast in religion, then his trials increased. If there was weakness in his faith, then he was tested in accordance with the degree of his religion. And hardships and misfortunes do not cease to befall the slave until they leave him to walk the earth free from sins.”

One should not think that only the prophets passed the tests with dignity, becoming even stronger in their faith; every believer is given such an opportunity. Of course, in moments of misfortunes and troubles we are immersed in strong emotional experiences and cannot think about anything else, but in fact, trials and tribulations are a blessing for the believer, an opportunity to find the contentment and love of Allah Almighty, who sent the test to test behavior of his slave in this situation.

“Allah does not impose on a person beyond his capabilities. He will receive what he has acquired, and what he has acquired will be against him. Our Lord! Don't punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place on us the burden that You placed on our predecessors. Our Lord! Don't burden us with what we can't do. Forgive us, forgive us and have mercy! You are our Patron. Help us to prevail over the disbelieving people" (2:286).

When we lose hope and don’t believe that everything will be fine, we follow the lead of the shaitan, who incites us to do so. Despair and loss of hope in the Almighty are among the greatest sins. Ibn Abbas reported that one person asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) what sin is the most serious? To which the Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: “Equating anyone with Allah, losing hope in the mercy of Allah and despair.”

Patience is the mercy and blessing of the Almighty, given to people, which allows them to overcome life’s difficulties, troubles and sorrows. Allah sends down difficulties, but He also sent down patience as a means of overcoming them. Patience prevents a person from breaking down, makes him stronger and exalts him in the eyes of the Almighty. One day the prophet (peace be upon him) passed by a cemetery and saw a woman sitting there on her knees, who was crying near one grave, and the Messenger of Allah said to her: O slave of Allah, fear Allah and be patient. She answered: O servant of Allah, I lost my child. He told her: O slave of Allah, fear Allah and be patient. She says: O servant of Allah, if something befell me, you would have found an excuse for me. He told her: O slave of Allah, fear Allah and be patient. She answered: O servant of Allah, you heard me, so go away. The Messenger of Allah left. One of the Muslims saw this, he approached her and asked: What did this man tell you? And she told what the man said to her and what she answered him. He asked her: Do you know who it was? She replied: No, I swear by Allah. He said: Woe to you! This was the Messenger of Allah. And she hastily rushed after him until she caught up with him and said: O Messenger of Allah, I will endure. He said to her: Truly patience is at the first blow.

Patience eases the pain of suffering, therefore, Allah ordered man to be patient and not go to extremes, which will only escalate the situation. Allah Almighty loves the patient, so be one of those “who, when trouble befalls them, say: “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we will return” (2:156).

And do not lose hope in the mercy of the One who created you, the One who knows everything that happens in your soul. And if your soul is not calm, turn to the verses of the Koran, in which Allah promises His mercy to everyone. And His promise is true. Seek consolation in Him: “Say to My servants who have overindulged to their own detriment: “Do not despair of Allah’s mercy. Verily, Allah forgives sins completely, for He is Forgiving, Merciful.”
(39: 53).

“If My servants ask you about Me, then I am close and answer the call of the one who prays when he calls on Me. Let them answer Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will follow the right path” (2: 186).

“We created man and we know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than the jugular vein" (50:16).
