He became an actor, having previously worked as a salesman in a butcher's shop, a waiter in a cafe and served in the army. There was no question of any acting education: just one day one of his friends invited the young Delon to try his luck in acting screen tests.

Romy and the self-taught actor

Happiness did not smile immediately. Some directors refused, believing that apart from impeccable appearance there was nothing interesting in him. Others were embarrassed that the guy was self-taught. Still others offered only small episodic roles.

This was the state of affairs when Alain Delon met Romy Schneider. The famous Austrian actress fell in love with the blue-eyed handsome man in earnest. Together they played in the film "Christina" - and soon the relationship of the actors went beyond the set.

Their status in cinema at that time could not even be compared: Romy is a world celebrity, Alain is an aspiring actor. Nevertheless, a year later they got engaged, and a few years later he left her by sending a note through a friend.

At that time, Delon had already starred in the detective drama "In the bright sun", received his portion of recognition and success and was expecting a child from Natalie Barthelemy, whom he was going to marry.

Two children and an official marriage

In a fairly short time, Alain Delon became the father of two sons at once from different women. And if everything was serious with Natalie from the very beginning, then only a fleeting affair connected him with the singer and actress Niko. But Niko became pregnant - and almost immediately announced that the child's father was Delon.

He did not recognize the boy, but his surname - Boulogne - was given to the baby by the actor's parents.

And Alain tried to start a family for the first and last time in his life. Natalie Barthelemy was also an actress, and quite similar in temperament to Delon. Both passionate and freedom-loving - not best qualities for a happy family life.

Nevertheless, when Natalie set a condition for Alain - either he stops all the intrigues on the side and stays with her, or she leaves - he reacted like a gentleman: he made a marriage proposal.

“From the very first day we began to quarrel and yell at each other. Alain, explosive and reckless, turned on for any reason - but I didn’t let anything down either, ”Natalie will tell later.

The marriage lasted four years, but in the end it ended predictably: in divorce.

Love with the most coveted actress in France

Delon was going through a difficult divorce from the mother of his child. In the midst of an internal crisis, he met Mireille Dark, an actress who in those years was admired by all the men of the country.

But neither great love, nor the experience of previous relationships could fix his inner womanizer. He lived for 15 years civil marriage with Mireille - and all 15 he cheated on her. She turned out to be a wise woman and forgave a lot. She did not forgive only betrayal.

After a serious illness of his beloved, Delon still left, leaving her a gorgeous bouquet of flowers goodbye.

According to merit

The actor started his last notable romance at a mature age. He was 55 when he met model Rosalie Van Bremen. She could not resist the imposing and still beautiful Delon, the legend of world cinema. And when she got pregnant, she waited for an offer - but it did not follow.

Daughter Anushka was born in 1990. Four years later, she had a younger brother, Alain-Fabienne. And after three more, Delon and Van Bremen parted: realizing that the relationship did not lead to anything, she left the actor for their mutual acquaintance.

So by the age of 60, Alain Delon turned out to be a single father of four children. He is now over 80. He lives in a secluded villa in France, where women continue to visit from time to time.

"In the bright sun" (1960)

Regardless of his age, he still benefits from his stunning appearance: a few years ago, a perfume company made Delon the face of its fragrance, using a snapshot of the actor from 1966.

“The real luxury for me today, and at first glance it may seem strange, is my freedom. I have always been a free person, free in my actions, movements, I have always been free to do what I want, when I want, where I want, with whom I want, for fifty years now I have been doing this, ”Alain Delon once said.

It's good that this luxury is available to him.

No matter how pretentious it may sound, Alain Delon has long been not an actor, not a producer, not a director, not a singer and not an owner of a business empire. Alain Delon is a symbol, to put it modern language, brand. A symbol of success, a symbol of giftedness, a symbol of beauty, a symbol of unrealized opportunities, a symbol of a movie star with all the positive and negative components of this concept. In general, everyone can find their own symbol in Alain Delaunay.

A simple young man from a Parisian suburb

November 8, 1935 is probably marked by many important events, but in the history of world cinema, this date is primarily associated with the fact that in the Parisian suburb of Sau, in the family of Frenchman of Corsican origin Fabien Delon and his wife Edith, a son was born, named Alain. The Delon family was typically bourgeois, Fabien owned his own small cinema called Regina, Edith, a pharmacist by profession, helped her husband with business. However, she did not help him for too long, since in 1938 they divorced, and Alain stayed with his mother, who soon created new family with the owner of a sausage shop Paul Boulogne.

It is difficult to say what influence the stepfather had on the formation of Delon's personality, but it is known for sure that Monsieur Boulogne taught his stepson how to cut meat, which the teenager often did, earning money first in the family shop, having received the appropriate vocational education, and then going to work in one of the similar neighboring establishments. The character of the young Alain Delon was complex, frankly, he was just a slob, he did not have any interest in studying and often arranged hooligan antics, for one of which, at the age of 17, he even ended up at the police station for some time. So joining the French army was a way for young Delon to see something new, gain life experience and, moreover, earn some money. So in 1953 he ended up in the corps marines in Indochina. Despite the fact that problems with discipline often made themselves felt in the army, and Delon's colleagues remember him as a good soldier and comrade, and the actor himself believes that the army service went to his advantage, largely shaping the character of an adult and more responsible person. But in 1956, the service ended and the demobilized Delon returned to France. To begin with, as befits a retired soldier, he skipped almost all the money received in the army with a friend in Marseilles, and then went to his native Paris to rent a cheap room there and earn a living with whatever it was necessary, from the head waiter to the waiter.

The whole world is at your feet

On the advice of his acquaintances, Alain Delon began to send his photographs to film producers and appear at one or another film studio. Finally, in Cannes, where Delon arrived with friends, he was noticed by one of the American producers who were there at the film festival, and after the audition, during which he appreciated not only his enviable appearance, but also his obvious acting inclinations, he offered a contract for filming in Hollywood. The young man was already ready to teach English language and go to the States, but then he was intercepted by "native" French filmmakers - director Yves Allegre offered him a secondary role in his new film "When a Woman Intervenes" (1957). And so began the brilliant film career of Alain Delon. The following year, he starred in the Franco-German historical melodrama Christina, in which he composed a duet with the rising star of German cinema, Romy Schneider. But they really started talking about Alain Delon as a new star of European cinema in 1960, after his brilliant main roles in the films of Rene Clement "In the bright sun" (based on the novel "The Talented Mr. Ripley", the film adaptation of the same name was released in 1999 ) and Luchino Visconti "Rocco and his brothers". In addition, his romance with Romy Schneider added fame to the young actor - their couple was spoken of as the most brilliant in the world.

The 1960s in French and partly in European cinema passed under the sign of Alain Delon: bright, memorable and at the same time diverse roles in the projects of Michelangelo Antonioni "Eclipse", Visconti "Leopard", Jean-Pierre Melville "Samurai", Jean Erman "Goodbye , friend ”, Jacques Dere“ Pool ”(a magnificent duet of Delon and Schneider, who had parted in real life by that time), Henri Verney“ The Sicilian Clan ”made the classics of cinema and raised the actor to an unattainable height of audience popularity and professional reputation. In the 1970s, the matured Delon made a bet either on criminal detectives such as "Large Caliber", "Two in the City", "Police Story", "Like a Boomerang", "Gang", or went on atypical experiments - according to Many critics, Delon performed his best dramatic role in the drama "The First Night of Peace" (1972), in which he played the role of a weak-willed and not adapted to real life intellectual, unusual for himself. In addition, Alain was actively involved in producing films, writing scripts, recording vocal duets, as in the case of the famous song "Words, Words", performed with the singer Delilah.

Achieved everything

In the 1980s, the actor, who was aware of his lesser demand due to his already solid age, acted less and less and more and more often sat in the director's chair himself, as, for example, in the projects "For the Skin of a Policeman", "Shock", "Indomitable". But at the same time, he did not forget to demonstrate that he became a star not only because of his spectacular appearance - for his role as an alcoholic in the film Our History (1984) he was awarded the Cesar Prize. In the future, filming became even more rare, but Delon did not deny himself the pleasure of acting in projects that were interesting to him - for example, in 2008 he performed the brilliant and full of self-irony role of Caesar in the film “Asterix at the Olympic Games”. For this role, by the way, he received 1.2 million dollars, but this hardly played an important role for him - Alain Delon is one of the richest people in France, having shown his flair and business talent since the 1970s. He managed to turn his name into a trade brand and long before modern stars with their personalized clothing collections began to produce perfumery products, Sunglasses, men's clothing, cigarettes, wine and cognac of our own production. All this made it possible by the 2000s to make a fortune with a total value of about $ 700 million. So his heirs, 46-year-old son Anthony, 16-year-old youngest son Alain-Fabienne and 21-year-old daughter Annushka need not worry about their own financial well-being... Unless, of course, the great father is angered by something and he does not deprive them of their inheritance.

Lost childhood, beauty and women, popularity and fatherhood, money, politics, religion and death ... Alain Delon talks about everything in an interview with Valerie Trierweiler.

Pari Match: Everyone knows or thinks they know Alain Delon. But does your image match who you really are?

Alain Delon: Yes, absolutely. He matches and always matches who I am. I have never tried to change, to become someone else. I am in agreement with myself. I have always been myself. I didn’t try on any role. I never pretend and say what is on my mind, even if someone might not like it. I could not even imagine that I would have such a fate that I would become what I have become. I came back from the war, cinema came to me through women, but I was already what I remain to this day. Also, don't you think this look has aged a little?

- Do you think you owe everything to the beauty that you have shone with all your life? At what point did you realize that you have this power?

- Beauty has always been with me. Everyone was constantly talking to me about her. Women and not only them. When I was offered to star in a movie, I thought: "Why me?" In response, they told me about this beauty. She was mentioned all the time. Even a mother as a child. People in the streets stopped to say, "What a beautiful son you have!" But she hated being touched. When we walked with her in the park, she hung a sign on my stroller with the inscription: "Look, but don't touch!" Then the girls stared at me. But if I realized that this is power, a weapon, I would not start life as a butcher. In the end, everything was done not by me, but by the women. I'm with early years I was crazy about women, especially those who were five to ten years older than me. When I returned from the army, I began to live in Pigalle. Some time later, several girls were making a living for me. They were crazy about me because, as it turned out, I was beautiful. She gave me the opportunity to make a movie. If I had not become an actor, I would have already died.

- Cinema allowed you to take revenge on life?

- No, because it was destiny. Be that as it may, I am grateful to my mother, because it was she who gave me this appearance, and everything happened thanks to her. I got it all because of beauty. So I say, "Thank you, Mom." I am very much like her, she was great. I owe her at least this.

- Which woman played the first role in your life?

- Brigitte Aubert was the first to enter my life. In addition, she was the first to convince me to take up cinema. She wanted to carry me along. Brigitte told me: "Be yourself, speak as you speak, move as you move." In fact, I never played, but lived. And I immediately realized that I would fall in love with this profession. Then Edwige Feyer took me under the wing. My career went uphill, although I did not feel that I was in any way involved in this.

- Let's go back to your childhood. Deprozh said: "I was not lucky with the fact that I did not have an unhappy childhood." Did your difficult childhood temper you?

- I definitely had an unhappy childhood. This period was like a preparation for life. How do you know that your parents are getting rid of you when you are only four years old? They got divorced and started building new life, and I ended up in a foster family like an orphan. I have never seen my parents together. Father on the one hand, mother on the other. Each is on his own shore, and I am like an island between them. One. Of course, I was not alone, because I ended up in a foster family with wonderful people whom I loved very much and to whom I owe a lot. They were my beloved people, taught me respect. I experienced breakup, rejection and loneliness very early on. I realized that I could leave all this behind only by running away, and at the age of 17 I ended up in a war in Indochina. Most were 21 at the time, but my parents signed the permit without hesitation, as if they wanted to get rid of me again. For this I am angry with them. You can't send a 17-year-old guy to the war ... 17 years old ... I was only 17!

- Did you see them at that time? Did they come to you?

- Mom sometimes came. Father - never. They had a different life and different children. I was not a priority for them. I was 4 years old, but they abandoned me. I only have half-brothers and sisters. We still have close ties with Paul-Edith, mother's daughter. We sometimes saw our stepbrothers, but I would not call it family.

- Have you ever talked to your parents about why they left you?

- No never. My parents did not give me gifts. Since they knew everything, why talk about it? When my mother died, I was almost 70 years old. I never had a desire to stir up the past. Why is this needed? I missed her very much in my younger years, much more than my father. Both of them became closer to me after I became famous. They were proud to be the parents of Alain Delon. They suddenly remembered that they had a son. Mother began to call herself Madame Delon, although her surname was Boulogne. She became a fan, not a mother. My father was more near at the end of his life. I have a photo with him from the filming of "Monsieur Klein", in which he looks at me more attentively than a woman in love. He could not believe that he was my father. Nevertheless, all this cannot return what I did not have in childhood, parental love. There is a void that cannot be filled. Even when I lived with a woman and loved a woman, I still felt lonely. I've always had this feeling. The roots of this constant loneliness, no doubt, go back to childhood. I was only four years old when I realized that you can be abandoned by those you love the most.

- Hasn't anyone replaced your father? For example, Renault Clement?

- Probably to some extent. But he was primarily my teacher. He taught me everything, I owe everything to him. There was almost a family bond between us. We were close until the very end, until his death in 1996. Despite the closeness, I have always been with him on "you". As with Gabin, Melville and all the movie giants for whom I had great respect. They were my mentors.

- Your father was not there, almost completely ... And you yourself, what kind of father did you become?

- This question would be worth asking my children. I'm not sure I was a good father and grandfather for them. Was I on top? I do not think. As for Anushka and Alain-Fabienne, by age I could be their grandfather. It's Complicated. In addition, for them I am not only a father, but also Alain Delon. Carrying such a load is not easy, especially since they themselves are in this profession. It was especially hard for Anthony to live with. He had to endure a lot. Glory isolates, alienates from the rest of the world. Including from their own children.

Has the appearance of your daughter changed you as a father?

- Like any father in any family, I was crazy about my daughter, just like mothers doted on sons. I was lucky that I had just a royal choice. This is wonderful. A daughter for a father is just wonderful! As for Alain-Fabien, I cannot dismiss him. He looks so much like me that you can see right away that he is my son!

- Anthony looks like you too. Do you feel like you missed something?

- Yes, definitely, but it's not my fault. He suffered in his youth. He says that his mother did not love him, but was raised by Mireille Dark, and that his father, meanwhile, was indifferent and busy. Something I can understand. But not all. Yes, he had a hard time in his acting career. He couldn't find his place. Everything turned out differently for Anushka and Alain-Fabien. A whole generation separates them, and it has become easier for them to find their place. It turned out to be very difficult for Anthony to be the son of Alain Delon. He had to give up his film career and do other things. And he was angry with me, as if I was to blame. But that is what it is. It is difficult to be successful in this business, whoever you are.

“Don't discount the fact that you broke up with their mothers, Natalie, and then Rosalie. Isn't it always excruciating for a child? You yourself happened to go through this ...

- Yes, when my parents divorced, it caused me a lot of suffering. It is for this reason that I wanted to marry once for all my life. When I married Natalie, I really thought that we would live with her until the end of our days, that nothing would separate us. It was my dream. In the end, nothing came of it, life changed. Natalie wanted a divorce, and I no longer dared to marry. There is only one Madame Delon, with her I have very strong ties. At the beginning of our relationship, I told Mireille that I would never marry her. She accepted it. We parted because she could not have children. I had problems, rather, with my daughter Anushka. When she was little, she really wanted us to get married with her mother Rosalie. I refused because I am not someone who just changes my mind. Anushka was angry with me because of this. The future showed that I was right, since Rosalie and I went our separate ways.

- How did your relationship develop with those who claimed that they have sons from you?

- Not at all, because there were no other cases. Ari had a difficult story because my mom took care of it. She and her mother lost in court. Sometimes law enforcement go too far. I was just beside myself when I learned that Yves Montana was being pulled out of the coffin to take a DNA sample to establish paternity. I said to my daughter, “How could you have dealt with Montana like this? I beg you, do not let me do this to me when I die. " I hope this never happens.

- What period of your life was the happiest for you?

- Definitely from 20 to 28 years old. I returned unscathed from Indochina, which was a miracle in itself. The army has tempered me. It was there that I fell in love with order and discipline, learned to respect leadership. At that moment, women and cinema opened their arms to me. It was the time of "In the bright sun", career takeoff, meeting with René Clement and Romy, my first big love. This period has forever left its mark on my memory and blood, made me who I am now. I was happy. This was the beginning of success.

- Were you afraid that one day this success will dry up?

- No, I have never had such fear in my life. I never dreamed of this career, everything worked out by itself. Therefore, if it were all over, it would not be a tragedy for me. I was not created to be Alain Delon. I should have died long ago. Apparently, this is fate. There is no luck, there is only destiny.

- Was working with Luchino Visconti also destiny?

- Contrary to popular belief, Visconti appeared after René Clement. One thing followed another. He wanted to invite me to Rocco and His Brothers because he saw the movie In the Bright Sun. He called my agent and we arranged a meeting. Everything was very simple, but he made a proposal. I repeat, I didn’t ask for anything and didn’t turn to anyone.

- How did you take the rumors about the connection between him and you?

- There weren't so many of them. They came from his German friend. And so it was. Then there was the Leopard, we got close, and this German moron was jealous of the relationship between me and Visconti. He also taught me a lot, I am very obliged to him.

- In those days there was something feminine in you, which, apparently, was part of your image ...

- Maybe. Men really told me: "You are beautiful as a girl!" But then I was still very young, and all this is long gone.

- Looking at you, it always seemed that you were going beyond ... Besides, in your first film "When a Woman Intervenes" Yves Allegre, you already got the role of a bully ... Were these roles intended for you?

- Yes, I've always been either a policeman or a bully! I was asked to play bullies. At first, I didn't want to. I didn't want to play at all.

- Be that as it may, you were more likely still a bully, not a policeman, right?

- Yes, absolutely. I was somewhere on the edge. I did stupid things, went to jail, ended up in arms in Indochina at the age of 17. Yes, I was a petty bully. You know, as a child, I saw a prison all the time. My foster family lived in Fresnes near the prison. I played with the children of the guards. We wondered what was behind the walls. In addition, I still remember the whistle of bullets when Laval was shot in October 1945. I was nine years old then. Such an event leaves its mark on the child. My friends and I came up with stories, imagined how it all happened and what Laval had done before. We were acting out a scene. It turns out that what happened unconsciously directed me? It is not excluded.

- About the plot "policeman or hooligan". What kind of relationship did you actually have with Jean-Paul Belmondo?

- We have always been friends and rivals. We have been running the 100-meter race with him for over 60 years. Sometime he wins, sometime I. But we never scattered. I'm glad to be there. Otherwise, our careers would have been different. We competed and at the same time spurred each other on. If it were not for him, it would seriously knock me down. I was the one who wanted him to star in Borsalino, and I had no reason to regret it.

- What about the film by Patrice Leconte, in which you have to play your last role? Are you still going to participate?

- Yes, but everything had to be postponed. I really want this, because I would be happy to play with Juliette Binoche. We are not familiar with her, but I consider her a wonderful actress. Besides, I would like to go on stage for the last time.

- You starred for all the greatest directors. What else would you like?

- Probably to star in a film by Luc Besson. But he thinks I'm out of control. In fact, I have never had a scandal with any of the directors. When I played for Visconti, Clement and Melville, I told them: "Guide me, say what you want, here I obey you." I was a musician who needed a conductor. It was great working with them.

- Why did you become a producer? What prompted you to do this?

- I had a need to create, to do something. In addition, I wanted first of all to be the boss, to decide for myself what I would do. Having become a producer, I myself chose the writers, directors and actors. I made all the decisions. I myself was neither an author nor a writer, and seemed to compensate for this by choosing quality works by Jean Coe or Jean-Claude Carriere. If my memory serves me, I was the producer of 27 films, including "Bassein" and "Borsalino". Not a bad result! The first was "Unconquered" in 1964. Some came out without Delon in the credits, I did everything not only for myself.

- Is it possible to avoid dizziness from success if you are Delon?

- I think yes. I analyzed everything. I very carefully examined everything that happened to me. Again, this is fate. I think I manage to keep my distance, although everything that happened is wonderful and extraordinary. Now I'm 82 years old, but I'm sitting here with you for oysters! I am glad that all this was in my life. I did not have to fight for such a life and career, but that is, that is, and all this sometimes amazes me myself. I am an actor by vocation, not by education, I did not study this. I didn't do anything for this. He dropped out of school at the age of 14 and joined the army. I'm one of those actors like Jean Gabin, Lino Ventura and Bert Lancaster. A strong personality who was attracted to the cinema. And I can say without false modesty that I have achieved success in this field.

- In your younger years, you had difficult periods, but then you got money. What is your attitude towards them?

Brigitte Bardot: fame crushed me

The Guardian 09/14/2012

80 years of Jean-Paul Belmondo

Atlantico 04/09/2013 - I fell in love with art. The money allowed me to buy it. First, I purchased drawings in London. I was crazy about the works of the XIX, as well as the XVI and XVII centuries. I was not alone in this, several people invested money. Then I began to buy pictures of the Fauves, works by Delacroix, Gericault and Corot. Further, I spent on the artists of the Parisian school. I also became interested in Bugatti's bronze sculptures, which became famous thanks also to me. I had the best Bugatti collection in the world, but I have already partially sold it for a long time. Be that as it may, I still have a love for art and many works. In the estate in Soul, I have a whole underground gallery. I often go there and look at them. It calms me down. It doesn't bother me. All this became possible thanks to my money. I think I managed to become a recognized admirer and collector of art.

- Who would you call a great actor today?

- Among young people there is one real actor who I really like, even if he is the son of his father. This is Vincent Cassel. Jean-Pierre was a man of a completely different kind, a great fan of Fred Astaire and musical comedies. I don't know exactly what path Vincent had to go through, but I see that everything is going very well for him.

- At the beginning of your career, did you have a desire to become the best? To be at the top of the poster?

- I approached my career quite sensibly. At the same time, I understood that this is my calling. I was like a fish in water. Do not forget that my fourth film was "In the bright sun". All this is not for nothing. Few of the actors after three pictures gets into the movie "In the bright sun" or another big movie. Simply put, it was mine. Probably, at some point I wanted to become one of the best. But, again, the main thing for me was to pursue the finest profession in the world.

- Has politics ever attracted you?

- No never. To do it, you need a certain education. As you remember, I had nothing of the kind. I have a primary school certificate and a butcher certificate. How do you like it? Not a bad achievement! I was kicked out everywhere, from all boarding houses and schools, because I did nothing but stupid things. Ultimately, the school doors were closed in front of me, and I became a butcher. Far from politics! I had to dodge somehow. I had nothing but my face.

- Be an actordoes it mean to be a favorite of the public, like a politician among voters?

- I have achieved success as an actor and have been loved as a man all my life. Few people were loved as much as me. I was loved like Signore Montana, he was revered as a god. Mireille loved me the most, our story was just fabulous. I miss her. I really miss her.

- Which women have played the biggest role in your life? Do we know all their names?

- The list is long! Among those whom I loved the most, I must first of all name Romy (Schneider), Natalie (Barthelemy), Mireille (Dark) and Rosalie (van Bremen). There were others, including those outside the cinema. Brigitte Aubert and Michelle Cordoux. She's already dead. Like Mireille. I hope she's happy there in heaven now. She had gone through too much.

- Do you believe in life after death?

- Unfortunately, I believe first of all in death. Someone talks about the soul. The body dies, but the soul remains. But where is she going? I would like to know. No one knows this, and those who say the opposite are just making it up. Do you know what's going to happen? It is sad, but I believe that a person becomes only a body that rots underground.

- Are you religious?

- Less than when I was young. I don't really believe in God, but Mary attracts me. I love this woman and everything she has done. Of course, we know her son much better, but who was he really? I talk to Maria, tell her about different things, ask questions. She relieves me, keeps me company that I no longer have. She is always there. She listens and consoles me.

- Have you tried psychoanalysis?

- A little. Several times when I was offered. When I was depressed. I went to two specialists in difficult moments of my life. It was a long time ago. Be that as it may, I am not a supporter of this and not an expert.

- Do you still have friends?

- It has always been difficult to have real friends. Besides, almost everyone has already died. The first to leave us were Jean-Claude Briali and Jean-Pierre Cassel. The five of us started our careers together, and now there are three of us left: Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jean-Louis Trintignant and me. Not too much fun. My directors and actors are already dead. I was the youngest and there was no one left. I have no more women. We were great friends with Jeanne Moreau, but she too was gone. Brigitte Bardot remains.

- Did you have a love story with her?

- Oddly enough, we were only friends. Nothing happened between us. We have had excellent friendships for 50 years now. We did one hot scene, but nothing really happened. We often call each other. We both love animals very much. If it were not for her love for them, she probably would no longer be alive now. She would definitely commit suicide, like all great sex symbols. It is very difficult for a woman to no longer see desire in the eyes of men. It's just awful for her.

- Has old age brought you suffering?

- For men, everything is different. Age has its consequences: I find it difficult to walk, I sleep a lot and I like to eat well. But when I see my posters in Paris with photographs from the "Pool", I tell myself that since then no one has surpassed me. Besides, as I said, I had everything.

- Do you have a feeling that the audience "swallowed" you?

- If you are an actor, you need an audience. I know actors who dream of not being recognized on the street. I was able to avoid it. I am a loner by nature and always have been. I also managed to survive thanks to the pets. Be that as it may, it was the audience that brought me success.

- At the beginning of the conversation, I asked you what period was the happiest for you. Which one turned out to be the saddest?

- Probably the current one. Now life gives me little. I saw everything and knew everything. Besides, I hate this era, it disgusts me. There are people I just can't stand. Everything around is fake and deceitful. There is no more respect, attention to other people's opinions. Only money matters. All day long, everyone talks about crimes alone. I can say for sure that I will leave this world without regret. I will not be sorry to leave at all. Everything is prepared, I have a grave in the chapel, six places. So far there is empty, deserted. Those whom I loved and who have already left us rest in other places. Let's see who joins me.

- That is, you are not afraid of death? You talk about her with such ease.

- No, I'm not afraid of her at all. Death is the only thing in the world about which we can be sure. It is the matter of time. How many more years have I left? I can live to be 90, 92 years old. It's not me who decides, but up there. I can say for sure that I will not leave my dog alone. This is my last dog, the Belgian Shepherd, which I love as a child. Her name is Loubaud. I miss her when she's not around. If she dies before me, which I really hope, I will no longer have a dog. I had 50 dogs, but this one has a special relationship. She annoys me because she does not want to climb the stairs and does not sleep with me. But still ahead. She has her own character, she does not love everyone. In January, the dog will turn three years old, which equals 21 years for a human. If I die before her, I'll ask the vet to make sure we leave together. He will give the dog an injection so that it dies in my arms. Better than knowing that she will suffer and die on my grave.

- It practically leaves no room for a woman ...

- I didn't find her. I am not saying that there are no candidates. There are ten of them, but none are suitable for spending the rest of your life with her. Although I would be ready for a lot to feel last love... Probably even give up what I've always said. I would be ready to marry a woman if she agreed to be with me to the end. It would make sense. 50 years after the adored Natalie, the circle would be closed.

One of the most beautiful and talented actors of the XX century….

The star of the world cinema, the favorite of millions, the conqueror of women's hearts, 81-year-old Alain Delon, announced that he was completing his film career.

“As a boxer who doesn't want to have an extra fight, I don't want to be in an extra movie,” he says.

French actor Alain Delon said that the picture he is currently working on will be the last in his career.

“This will be my very last film, because like a boxer who doesn't want to have an extra fight, I also don't want to star in an extra film,” the 81-year-old actor explained his decision.

He has long been able to turn his name into a successful trade brand. Alain Delon's products are sold all over the world: perfumes, sunglasses, men's clothing, cigarettes, wine and cognac.

All this allowed the actor to make a fortune of $ 700 million by the early 2000s. So his heirs (Delon has two sons and a daughter) need not worry about the future.

Today, the renowned actor is considered one of the richest people in Europe - according to unofficial data, Delon's fortune is already in the billions. Nevertheless, he leads a rather closed and, alas, lonely life.

On the shores of Lake Geneva, in a luxurious villa, together with the actor, only his faithful dogs live, which, according to Delon, have much more human qualities than people ...

Recall that the actor is the owner of Cesar for Best Actor in the film Our Story. On account of his three directorial works: "For the Skin of a Policeman", "Shock", "Indomitable". Delon won the audience's love after filming the films "In the bright sun", "Rocco and his brothers" and "Leopard".

For his participation in the last tape in 1963, he was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in the category "Most Promising Newcomer Among Men."

And yet, how nice it is when a man knows how to grow old, and grows old beautifully! What roles of this wonderful actor have sunk into your heart the most? Share your impressions in the comments.

After Delon's ex-beloved actress Mireille Dark ("Tall blond in a black shoe") died in August, he said: "No Mireille, I can go too." A month later, the actor was urgently hospitalized. It was then that the journalists suggested that Delon predicted a serious condition for himself. He underwent urgent surgery on the femoral artery (not long before that he had been complaining of pain in his back and leg for several days in a row).

Lonely Heartbreaker

In general, the world celebrity had only five sensational novels: the first with the Austrian actress Romy Schneider. She herself chose him as a partner in the film "Christina" (1958) - just fit his type. At first, there was not even an elementary sympathy between them: she was shocked and repulsed by his terrible behavior and reputation as a bad guy (yes, the handsome Delon had an unbearable character in his youth). But soon Romy fell in love with Alena to unconsciousness, and he was careful - he was afraid to be in the shadow of a star. And after a six-year relationship, he ran away from Romy altogether, breaking her heart for life.

While filming the 1960 crime drama "In the Bright Sun", Alain Delon met the German actress and singer Nico (later became the vocalist of The Velvet Underground), they developed a whirlwind romance, which resulted in a child named Christian Aaron. But the actor refused to recognize the boy. Delon's parents took the child with them and raised him themselves.

The scandal leaked to the press, and Delon had to leave France for Italy. There Luchino Visconti himself offered him to star in as many as two films: Rocco and His Brothers (1960) and Leopard (1963). This picture became truly cult, after the release of which almost nothing remained of the wild young man with bad manners. Delon becomes so rich that he can afford almost everything. However, he has not forgotten old friends. There were many decent women in his circle, but Delon married only once - to the actress and director Natalie Barthelemy. In marriage, the son of Anthony was born (later he also became an actor). But, having lasted only four years, the marriage broke up.

And shortly after breaking up with Natalie, in 1968, Delon met actress Mireille Dark - they were partners for 15 years.

And in 1987, Alain Delon had an affair with the Dutch fashion model Rosalie van Bremen, who is 31 years younger than the actor. In this marriage, two children were born: daughter Anushka (1990) and son Alain-Fabienne (1994). But this couple also broke up in 1997.

Today the actor is single, or as he himself corrected one journalist: "Not free, but lonely."

Unconditional love

The actor has been living in Switzerland for many years, where, having announced the end of his film career, he has recently been communicating only with numerous dogs living on his estate.

Alain Delon adores dogs, and in his youth he even wore huge jackets - to warm stray puppies under them. He now runs several shelters for cats and dogs and is a member of the Society for the Protection of Animals. And eight four-legged friends live on his estate.

On the territory of the artist's possessions, there is also a cemetery for dogs, where 45 of his four-legged friends, who previously lived with the actor, rest. There is also a chapel in this cemetery. Delon bequeathed himself to be buried here - among his most loyal friends who never betrayed him.

In an interview, the actor said: “Do you think my dogs know that I am Alain Delon? They do not care! That's not why my dogs love me. They don't care who I am or what I do. This unconditional love, love without thought, is complete, real love! "
