The exam year changes. Unified State Exam: required subjects to pass the exam

Despite the ambiguous attitude towards mandatory state exams among school graduates and their parents, the cancellation of the Unified State Exam in 2019 should not be expected. Judging by the trend that took place in 2017 and 2018, students will have to prepare even more efficiently for final tests and begin preparation not at the beginning of 11th grade, but much earlier.

If in the 2018-2019 academic year you have to graduate from school and choose a university, we strongly recommend that you become interested in such questions as:

Required subjects

Although today it is too early to talk about any final decisions regarding the final tests that should take place in the 2018-2019 academic year, employees of the Ministry of Education and Science are still ready to slightly lift the veil of secrecy. We managed to find out that in 2019 the Unified State Examination will definitely have new compulsory subjects.

The total number of compulsory subjects has not yet been determined. A team of specialists is working on this, weighing all the pros and cons of introducing new tests in certain subjects.

History will definitely be added to the compulsory subjects (basic or specialized mathematics and Russian language) in 2019. The Ministry of Education and Science emphasizes that every citizen should know the history of his country and be able to distinguish historical facts from profanities and fakes, which last years began to appear more and more often against the backdrop of confrontation between countries in the information field.

As an elective subject, graduates will be able to choose:

  • social science;
  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • computer science;
  • foreign language;
  • geography;
  • biology;
  • literature.

The list of foreign languages available for testing will include: English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese.

As before, tests for future applicants will begin at the beginning of winter with the writing of the December essay, which has already become a traditional start to the graduation campaign.

Thus, today, while studying in the 10th grade, future graduates must decide in which direction they would like to continue their studies and decide how many and what subjects they need to pass for this at the Unified State Exam in 2019.

Innovations and changes in the Unified State Exam 2019

If you believe Vasilyeva’s promises, there will be no fundamental changes in the 2018-2019 season. The innovations introduced in 2017 and 2018 have proven themselves to be excellent, and therefore will remain in the new exam cards.

The following important changes are expected:

  1. Mandatory oral part in the Unified State Exam in Russian (the exam will be divided into two days).
  2. Development of new CMMs in literature, focused on revealing the creative potential of the examinee.
  3. Adding so-called “integrated problems” to mathematics tickets, for solving which students will need to accumulate knowledge from different areas of algebra and geometry.
  4. The computer science exam will be held only using a PC (without the “paper” part).
  5. Tightening of rules aimed at ensuring the reliability of the results obtained.

Perhaps for schoolchildren who did not approach the study of individual subjects responsibly enough and realized their lack of knowledge only after entering the 11th grade, information about how many subjects they will have to take for the Unified State Exam in 2019 will be frightening. But, the purpose of such innovations is to provide competitive universities in the country with students who have the necessary amount of knowledge.

For more information about the innovations expected in the Unified State Exam, see the interview with Olga Vasilyeva.

Unified State Exam calendar for 2019

According to the approved schedule of the Unified State Exam, December essay graduates 2018-2019 school year will write on the following dates:

  • main session - 05.12.18;
  • 1st retake - 02/06/19;
  • 2nd retake - 05/08/19.

The early period will take place from 03/20/19 to 04/10/19 according to the established schedule:

The calendar for the main session of the Unified State Exam in 2019 will be as follows:

In September, graduates will be able to retake only compulsory subjects. The retake schedule will be as follows:

Minimum and passing scores

By completing Unified State Examination tasks, the graduate gains test points, which are converted into final results on a certain scale. It is not yet known whether there will be changes in the 2019 table. But, with a high degree of probability, it can be argued that the system of minimum and passing scores will remain.

  • Minimum score– a necessary condition for obtaining an education document. It is not difficult to achieve the minimum score in subjects. To do this, it is enough to master theory and practice at a basic level.
  • Passing score– a necessary condition for entry into the university chosen by the graduate. You should look for information about passing scores for a specific specialty at the university of interest on the official website of the educational institution.

Retake

Some good news is the fact that in 2019 it will be possible to retake not only compulsory subjects, but also any Unified State Examination exam. But, only one!

For graduates of previous years who received an unsatisfactory result, as well as for those who “failed” more than 1 subject or were found to have violated discipline, there will be no retakes.

If a graduate was unable to appear on the test day for a valid reason (documented), he will receive 2 more attempts.

  • on the reserve day of the session;
  • during the fall session.

Since the Unified State Examination certificate remains valid for 4 years, the autumn retake opens up for the graduate the prospect of entering a university next year, or even in 2019-2020 in faculties that have a shortage of students.

Preparation

By reading our article today, you are in time to think about preparing for the final tests that await you in 11th grade.

Experienced teachers, who have years of effective preparation of graduates to pass the Unified State Exam, recommend reaching the intended goal using the following algorithm:

  1. Determine which faculty you would like to enroll in.
  2. Find out what compulsory subjects (Unified State Examination certificates) the university requires from applicants in 2019.
  3. Find out what changes are expected in 2019 in the main subjects of the Unified State Exam (the official FIPI website will help with this).
  4. Step by step repeat all the topics of the school course in subjects, practicing solving test tickets for 2018 and 2019.
  5. Attend preparation courses for the Unified State Exam or contact a tutor.

Unfortunately, practice shows that simply good knowledge of the subject is not enough to successfully pass the Unified State Exam. Practice in solving problems of a certain type is required. By gaining experience in solving Unified State Exam questions while preparing for exams, students form a strategy for completing tasks and gain confidence in their own abilities, which is an indispensable assistant in achieving success.

We also suggest watching a video of the All-Russian meeting of the head of Rosobrnadzor with parents, at which issues important for future graduates were raised.

The main state exams, which everyone knows by the acronym GIA or OGE, are mandatory final tests for 9th grade graduates in Russia. Successful passing of the OGE allows you to receive a certificate of basic general education, and high scores received for specialized subjects provide the opportunity to move to a specialized high school and become a student at a gymnasium or lyceum. In addition, thanks to the OGE, ninth-graders can enroll.

GIA and its forms

State Final Certification is a set of final (examination) works for graduates of educational institutions of the Russian Federation who are completing a course of secondary education (grade 9) and basic general education (grade 11).

Today there are the following forms of GIA:

  • Unified State Exam (grade 11);
  • OGE (9th grade);
  • GVE (grades 9 and 11);
  • GIA-4 (grade 4).

Unified State Exam 2019

The Unified State Exam is mandatory for all graduates completing the 11th grade and wishing to continue their studies at universities in the Russian Federation. This form The GIA has been held since 2009 and will definitely not be canceled in 2019, which means that all graduates should prepare to take 5 exams, of which not 2, but 3 will be mandatory:

  • Russian language;
  • mathematics;
  • story.

The issue of the third compulsory subject has not yet been approved, but last year at press conferences at various levels the opinion was voiced more than once that every citizen of Russia should know the history of his country.

The issue of the possibility of supplementing the compulsory subjects of GIA-11 with a foreign language is also being discussed, but in 2019 graduates do not have to worry about this, since the management will need much more time to implement this idea. And if we remember the numerous scandals that erupted in 2018, it is unlikely that all 11th graders would be required to take the exam, the format of which needs improvement.

Of the next most likely innovations, it is worth noting:

  • introduction of the Unified State Exam in Chinese;
  • cross-checking of works by experts from other regions;
  • compulsory Unified State Examination for college graduates.

OGE 2019

Graduates of 9th grade in 2019 will take the OGE, which includes 5 subjects, 2 of which (mathematics and Russian) will be mandatory GIA exams. This means that at least one of them, a ninth-grader, will not receive a certificate.

The Ministry of Education and Science increasingly voices the opinion that history and English should be added to compulsory subjects as soon as possible, but most likely this will not happen at GIA-9 in the 2018-2019 academic year.

As before, 9th graders will take exams in their home schools. But neither teachers nor students will be able to find out exactly which tasks from the open bank will be offered at the State Academic Examination until the official printing of the envelope.

GVE 2019

GVE is a special, somewhat simplified form of State Examination, which in 2019 will be taken by certain groups of graduates in grades 9 and 11:

  • having appropriate medical indications(disability);
  • graduates of boarding schools;
  • students studying in prisons.

This year, college graduates are also taking the final exam instead of the Unified State Exam, but they want to abolish this norm, forcing everyone to enter the country’s universities on the same terms - through passing the Unified State Exam.

In the GVE format, only two main exams are taken - Russian and mathematics. The main feature of the certification format is the student’s ability to choose the most optimal option for him to pass the State Examination in the Russian language, having already become familiar with the topics of the essay and the material proposed for writing the presentation. The math ticket includes 10 multi-level tasks.

GVE is assessed using a 5-point system.

GIA-4

For the first time, the GIA for 4th grade graduates was tested in 2016, and already in the 2017-2018 academic year, tests became mandatory for all educational institutions in Russia. Speaking about GIA-4 in 2019, parents are most often interested in how many subjects their kids should take at the end of 4th grade, and in what format their first exams in life will be taken.

There is no need to worry - everything should be organized in an environment that is as gentle as possible for the child’s psyche, namely: a home class, a favorite teacher nearby, a regular lesson lasting 45 minutes. In fact, the exam for children will be no different from the average test.

In terms of the number of subjects for GIA-4, 2019 will not bring significant changes. Children will have to take three disciplines:

  • mathematics;
  • Russian language;
  • the world.

You can find all the main regulatory documents of the State Inspectorate, as well as download codifiers, specifications and demo versions for preparation on the FIPI portal at fipi.ru.

By subscribing to our groups on social networks or to the mailing list of news from our website, you will be among the first to learn the latest news about this year's innovations in individual subjects, as well as the dates of the Unified State Exam and Unified State Examination in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Elective subjects for State Examination 2019

Ninth-graders and their parents are always very concerned about the question: how many subjects should they take at the end of 9th grade?

In total, ninth grade students will have to take 4 subjects, 2 of which are mandatory exams.

And three exams are given to the graduate to choose from a list of optional subjects:

  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • biology;
  • geography;
  • story;
  • social science;
  • literature;
  • foreign language;
  • Informatics.

Knowing which exams need to be taken, the student can prepare well in advance by regularly solving standard exam options, which can be found on the official website for preparing for the State Examination (OGE) - FIPI, where you can thoroughly prepare for the final tests. Answers to questions that students and parents have about the State Examination 2019 will also be found on this website.

How does the GIA influence the grade on the certificate?

Not long ago, an innovation was introduced regarding the influence of the OGE mark on the student’s certification score. Let us remind you that not only marks for compulsory disciplines have such power, but also for those taken by the student by choice.

In addition, to pass into specialized classes, each subject must be passed with the scores recommended by Rosobrnadzor. Today these recommendations look like this:

Item Profile class Number of points
Russian language linguistic class 31 points out of 39
Mathematics physics and mathematics class 19 points out of 32
Physics physics and mathematics class 30 points out of 40
Chemistry chemical 23 points out of 34
Biology biological 33 of 46
Geography special class or college preparing bachelors in tourism 24 points or more out of 32
Social science legal classes 30 points out of 39
Story Historical 32 points out of 34
Computer science ICT class 15 points out of 22
Literature linguistic class It is recommended to score 19 points or higher out of 29
Foreign languages linguistic class 56 points out of 70

Exam Schedule

The timing and dates of the final exam for ninth-graders will be known only at the beginning of the next school year. But to have an idea of the approximate timing, you can familiarize yourself with the schedule of the State Examination Examination (OGE) in 2018.

Early period

Reserve days

Students who have not passed the State Examination, or who have received unsatisfactory results in the State Examination in more than two academic subjects, or who have repeatedly received unsatisfactory results in one or two academic subjects in the State Examination in additional terms, are given the right to pass the State Examination in the relevant academic subjects no earlier than September 1 of the current year.

General current rules

As before, students who have received a “pass” in the December final essay in literature, as well as anyone with grades higher than “2,” are allowed to take the State Examination, with the exception of cases where an unsatisfactorily graded subject is submitted to the certification itself. These can be both Russian schoolchildren and citizens of other countries who officially wish to fit into our education system, including refugees and migrants, as well as all children who failed exams or did not participate in them for any reason in previous years, and did not succeed on appeal.

GIA sessions traditionally begin at the end of May and last almost the entire month of June. For example, in 2018, the Unified State Exam was taken from May 26 to June 8 (main stage, reserve dates - 06/09-29/06), and the Unified State Exam - from May 29 to June 19 (reserve - from June 20 to July 1). Everything could be completed ahead of schedule during the second half of March - early May. By the way, with autumn retakes after appeals it has now become easier - you can take not only compulsory subjects, but also any other subjects (according to the OGE). Accordingly, in 2019 we should expect approximately similar deadlines in all respects.

According to the rules of writing, everything is also the same. Bring with you only documents, food and medications prescribed by the doctor, if any, and a black pen (pen, capillary or gel). All materials, including reference and drafts, as well as additional sheets of forms, if necessary, are issued on site. You are allowed to bring only a ruler to mathematics, a non-programmable calculator, a protractor and a ruler to geography, and the same calculator and ruler to chemistry and physics.

According to the duration of exams, the oral parts of languages are completed in fifteen minutes, chemistry, biology and Russian are allotted 3.5 hours, a foreign language, basic mathematics and geography - three hours, and all other subjects - 3 hours 55 minutes. All tests start at 10 am, but you need to arrive at the place by nine to pass the test and get assigned to offices.

The general principle of assessment systems also remains the same - for each subject it is written down what maximum score is set for each task, and what must be done to obtain it. Thus, a pool of primary points is formed for each student, which, according to the scheme established by Rosobrnadzor, is then transferred to a hundred-point system, and in addition, five-point marks are assigned that are transferred to the certificates. In general, all the rules, official training collections of assignments in all subjects, methodological requirements, assessment criteria, etc. can be viewed in detail directly on the website of the FIPI, which develops all this.

And we can only wish all potential applicants and ninth-grade students successful preparation and high passing results, as well as the achievement of all their goals in life!

With minor changes in the structure of tasks.

👉 Russian language

1. The essay evaluation criteria have been changed. Now the emphasis should be on commenting on the problem rather than on the arguments. For comments and illustration examples you can get a maximum of 5 points, for attitude to the author’s position - only 1 point.

3. Changed the format of tasks 2, 9-12.

👉 Biology

1. We changed the model of task 2. Now in it you do not need to choose two correct answers out of five proposed, but work with a table. You can get 1 point for it.

Technologies. Envelopes with individual sets no longer contain paper sheets, but disks. Forms and CMMs are printed directly in the classroom in front of the students. Rosobrnadzor claims that this eliminates data leakage.

Next year, in some regions, assignments will be transmitted via the Internet. Therefore, if you come across “leaked” assignments from the upcoming Unified State Exam on the Internet, then most likely these are old versions from the open bank of FIPI assignments. Be careful and don't pay any money to scammers.

There is also an online broadcast in the classrooms during the exam. In 2018, it was on 93% of sites. Notes can be reviewed after the exam is completed. According to experts, this helps keep an eye on cheating in exams.

Promises. In 2022, they are going to introduce a third mandatory exam - according to English language. It, like mathematics, will be divided into basic and specialized levels. Basic will assess English knowledge from A1 to B2 according to the European classification of levels. In other words, “everyday” English for those who do not need it to enter a university.

The profile will correspond to the level of the additional exam in a foreign language, which is currently being conducted. This is the level for applicants to language and international specialties.

Also, by 2019, Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva planned to introduce an oral part to the Unified State Examination in the Russian language. But so far it is carried out only at the OGE in some regions. There is currently no official data that would confirm the introduction of the oral part of the Unified State Exam in 2019.

There is also no confirmation that history will be made a compulsory subject in 2020.

Items

Required. There are still two of them: Russian language and mathematics.

In Russian, the first part contains tasks with a short answer, the second - with an extended answer. 24 points is enough to obtain a certificate. To enter the university you need to score at least 36 points.

The Unified State Examination in mathematics is divided into two levels: basic and specialized. Since 2019, you can only choose one exam to take.

  • The basic level is called “mathematics for life.” Here they test the general knowledge of those who do not need mathematics to enter a university. The exam contains 20 tasks that are graded on a 5-point scale. The minimum number of points is 3.
  • The profile level is taken by those who need mathematics at university and who connect future profession with exact sciences. Here the tasks are more complex and in-depth. They are assessed on a 100-point scale, you need to score at least 27 points.

If a student receives an unsatisfactory grade in a math exam, he can change the selected exam level and retake it on a reserve day.

To choose from. There are nine items in total:

1. Social studies - minimum 42 points,

2. Chemistry - 36 points,

3. Biology - 36 points,

4. Physics - 36 points,

5. Computer science and ICT - 40 points,

6. History - 32 points,

7. Literature - 32 points,

8. Geography - 37 points,

9. Foreign language: English, German, French, Spanish and Chinese.

The foreign language exam consists of written and oral parts. The written part is compulsory and receives a maximum of 80 points. The oral part, or “speaking,” can be taken on a separate day if desired. A maximum of 20 points is given for it. The minimum score for the foreign language exam is 22 points.

By the way, the most popular elective subject on the Unified State Exam in 2018 was social studies. 53% of participants passed it.

Preparation

Demos. Demonstration versions of control and measuring materials (CMM) help you become familiar with the structure, content, scores and evaluation criteria of the Unified State Exam. But these are not copies of the papers that will be on the exams.

It is best to download demo versions from the official website - this is where exam CMMs are developed. The same applies to printed CIMs: the copy you need should have the FIPI logo. This is the only way you can prepare for tasks that are as close as possible to those that will be on the exams.

Open task bank. The FIPI website also has a bank with Unified State Exam assignments from previous years. It is useful to solve them in order to understand the logic and structure of the tasks.

Examination procedure

The examination point (PPE) is launched at 9:00. You must take your passport and a black gel or capillary pen with you. The computer that will check your work does not consider a different ink color. It's also a good idea to bring a spare pen. Previously we wrote about what else

At the PPE, you are given an individual set of forms and CMMs. You need to check the barcodes and CMM numbers with the values on the control sheet. After which you fill out the registration fields on the Unified State Exam forms and begin completing the tasks.

Depending on the subject you will have 3 - 3 hours 55 minutes. Calculate how much time you will need for each part of the exam, and reserve the last 15 minutes for the final paper. Then carefully and carefully transfer your answers from the draft to the Unified State Exam forms.

Exam stages and results check

Early stage. It is held for those who, for good reason, cannot attend the exams in May-July. There are five reasons:

  • planned treatment;
  • participation in sports competitions;
  • Military service;
  • participation in the Unified State Examination of previous years;
  • early mastery of the subject program.

The last reason is an exceptional case. Rosobrnadzor sometimes accommodates those who confirmed the required level of knowledge at the last consultation before the Unified State Exam.

Main stage. Most schoolchildren take the Unified State Exam there. In 2019, the main part will be held from May 27 to July 1.

Additional period. It is held in September for those who want to retake the Unified State Exam.

Examination. 7-14 days. Depends on how many people took the subject. For example, checking results in Russian and mathematics usually takes the most time because everyone takes them. The results can be viewed on the official Unified State Exam portal and the State Services website.

Appeal

After the exam, the participant can file an appeal in two cases:

  • If the procedure for conducting the Unified State Exam was violated. The application must be submitted on the day of the exam to a member of the State Examination Commission (SEC), without leaving the examination site.
  • If you do not agree with the points given. You must submit it to your school within two working days after the results are announced.

An appeal cannot be filed:

  • on the content and structure of Unified State Examination tasks;
  • to tasks with short answer;
  • if you have violated the rules of the Unified State Examination;
  • if you have completed the exam paper incorrectly.

We have already written about that.

Retake

If you are unhappy with your Unified State Exam result, you can try to improve it and retake the exam. You can only retake one exam - you will have two attempts on reserve days. If you fail to achieve the desired scores, negotiate a retake for September. This applies to compulsory and optional subjects.

In 2019, you can only retake the Russian language or mathematics and only if you do not score the minimum score. Retake days:

  • September 3 - Russian language;
  • September 6 - basic mathematics;
  • September 20 is a reserve day for both subjects.

Elective subjects can only be retaken next year.

On the eve of the start of the new school year, teachers, graduates and, of course, parents are concerned about one question - do FIPI plan to introduce another innovation in the Unified State Exam and what should 11th grade students who graduate in 2019 prepare for?

The topic of the Unified State Exam is incredibly relevant. Attitude to final certification on the part of children and parents it is ambiguous, because often getting a high score in the subjects required for admission turns out to be quite difficult. And the first step in the effective preparation algorithm should be familiarization with the new requirements that will be relevant in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Cancellation of the Unified State Exam

Since the moment the final certification became mandatory for all graduates, news periodically appears that the Unified State Examination may be cancelled. But, despite all the efforts of initiative groups actively promoting the idea of canceling exams, this will definitely not happen in 2019.

The experience of reducing the number of compulsory subjects at the OGE has shown that the level of knowledge of ninth-graders in disciplines not included in the list of subjects for the exam has rapidly fallen. As a result, the number of compulsory subjects was returned and increased every year, thus motivating students to take the learning process more seriously.

Naturally, the government, Rosobrnadzor and FIPI will not agree to such experiments with 11th graders and the Unified State Examination in 2019, despite a number of high-profile scandals that many graduates and teachers remembered for the last 2018-2019 academic year.

Number of items in 2019

Discussions about the need to increase the number of compulsory subjects have been haunting graduates for many years now. If in 2018 only the Russian language and mathematics were compulsory, then in 2019 those taking the Unified State Exam may need to urgently brush up on history and English, although, most likely, such innovations will again be postponed at least until next 2020.

Among the elective subjects, the main innovation will be the holding of a pilot Unified State Examination in the Chinese language. Most likely, many 11th graders will give preference to this subject in the 2018-2019 academic year. Due to the fact that the Unified State Exam will be held in the format of a trial project, they will be able to count on a softer assessment system than in other exams foreign languages.

It is worth noting that the USE assessment system in English may also be revised, because it was this subject that caused the maximum number of problems in 2018 and negative reviews from the graduates.

Changes in CMMs

In the process of reforming the knowledge quality control system, by 2018, FIPI had brought almost all KIMs in compulsory and optional subjects to the desired form. IN live TV channel "Russia 24" Count of Rosbornadzor Sergei Kravtsov assured everyone that there are no plans to make any significant changes to the structure of the 2019 KIMs.

At the same time, it was previously said that already in 2019, all graduates will take the computer science certification exclusively in front of a computer monitor, and it is not yet known whether this new decision will affect the content of the tasks in the direction of reducing theoretical questions and increasing the volume of practical tasks.

  • mathematics (both levels);
  • physics;
  • chemistry;
  • geography;
  • Informatics.

In tickets for other disciplines there will be more insignificant innovations developed taking into account the analysis of the 2018 Unified State Examination.

Russian language

In 2019, students will have to complete 1 more building in the 3.5 hours allotted for work. There will be 27 of them in the new CMMs (instead of 26 in 2018). New for students will be task No. 21 on punctuation analysis of the text.

Among other innovations it is worth noting the following:

  • The range of tested skills and abilities of students has been somewhat expanded;
  • the format of tasks No. 2,9,10,11 and 12 has been changed;
  • the difficulty level of tasks has been redistributed;
  • The wording and assessment criteria for the new 27 task (with a detailed answer) have been clarified.

Foreign languages

The structure and content of the KIMs remain the same, but there are slight changes in the written part. In task “40” of the “Writing” block, the wording of the question itself has been changed, and the criteria for assessing the answer have also been revised.

Story

Social science

In the 2019 KIMs, changes will affect tasks No. 25, 28 and 29, for which a new, more detailed formulation and a number of new assessment criteria will be proposed.

The maximum primary score will also increase. In 2019, when completing work in social studies, a graduate will be able to score 65 initial points, since when assessing assignment 25, it will now be possible to receive not 3 but 4 points.

Biology

The main innovation of the subject is the reduction of the maximum primary score from 59 (in 2018) to 58 (in 2019), which was the result of a change in the 2nd line task model. If previously the examinee was offered a multiple choice task worth a maximum of 2 points, now it will be work with a table for which one can receive 1 primary test point.

When preparing for other subjects, collections of tests, trial tasks and codifiers from last season, which can be found and downloaded on the official FIPI website (fipi.ru), will be quite relevant.

Expected innovations

Although no innovations are expected in the main subjects, there will still be something new in the 2019 Unified State Examination.

News No. 1

Rosobrnadzor plans to radically change the format of checking examination papers by integrating a cross-system. This means that the students’ work will be checked by experts from a completely different region of the Russian Federation. In this case, teachers will not even know in which area, which locality and even more so, in what educational institution this work was written. Such a decision should completely eliminate the possibility of falsification of results.

News No. 2

In the near future, the Unified State Exam will become mandatory for graduates of secondary vocational education (colleges)!

Over the years, students who were not very good at learning curriculum, it was possible to bypass the Unified State Exam by entering college after the 9th grade and after graduating from secondary vocational education, entering the 2nd year of university without passing unified exam. Rosobrnadzor considered this state of affairs unfair and decided that the Unified State Exam should become mandatory for all applicants, regardless of which educational institution they graduated from. Thus, it is likely that already in 2019, graduates of secondary vocational education will be offered to pass mandatory exams in the Russian language and mathematics to continue their studies at the university.

Finalization of foreign language assignments. Although FIPI assures that all tickets are compiled in accordance with the subject study program, many schoolchildren, having a good grade in English, were unable to cope with the task. Thus, in 2018, many media outlets reported on the scandal that erupted due to the fact that thousands of graduates of Tula schools received “0 points” for an essay in a foreign language.

Unified State Exam for teachers of Moscow schools!

Do you think that any teacher can handle this without any problems? Unified State Exam assignments? But in vain. Many teachers who have been teaching the subject to children for years are unable to show a level above average. And that's a fact. That is why Isaac Kalina believes that every teacher who wants to work in a Moscow school must confirm his level by passing the Unified State Exam with at least a grade of “4”.

News No. 5

Rosobrnadzor plans to exclude human factor, completely switching to electronic verification of Unified State Examination and Unified State Examination work. Of course, this innovation will require serious preparation, which is simply unrealistic to implement by the start of the 2019 Unified State Exam. But by 2030, instead of experts checking compositions, essays and solutions to complex problems, there will be a complex intellectual program, the development of which is already underway.

Plus optional items.

planned for 2022

Upon graduation from school, students will have to take the Unified State Examination (USE). It is rented throughout the territory Russian Federation for the same tasks. Now it makes no difference in which city of the country the student lives; his exam will be of the same difficulty both in Moscow and in smaller cities.

Instructions

The compulsory subjects for taking the Unified State Exam are Russian and mathematics. Absolutely all graduates secondary schools will have to hand over these items. In principle, we can limit ourselves to these two disciplines. But they are usually not enough to apply to universities. As for passing other exams and their number, here each student can choose how many and which exams he will take. Among all school subjects you can choose an exam, chemistry, biology, geography, history, social studies, literature, foreign languages, computer science and information technology.

In your choice, you need, of course, to focus on the specialized subjects of the universities or colleges to which the student plans to apply. You need to decide in advance on your future educational direction, specialty and find out what subjects are required for admission to specific institutes or technical schools where you plan to apply. Typically, no more than one or two specialized disciplines are required. Therefore, along with the mandatory ones, the student will have to write three or four Unified State Examinations.

If the specialties for which the future applicant plans to apply differ greatly from each other, then more such specialized disciplines will need to be taken. Let's say that if he wants to enroll in both law and law, in addition to the mandatory Russian and mathematics, he will need to pass physics, social studies and Russian history, and sometimes also a foreign language.

You need to decide on the choice of items in advance. Before March 1, students are required to submit an application indicating the subjects they have chosen to take the Unified State Exam. If by this time the student has not yet clearly decided on the educational institution where he wants to continue his studies, it is better to indicate more selected subjects in the application. If a student changes his mind about taking one or more of them, he has the right to simply not appear for the Unified State Examination, then this exam will not be counted towards him when issuing a certificate with grades.

note

Educational institution has the right not to issue a certificate of secondary general education only if the student does not score the minimum number of points in compulsory subjects - mathematics or Russian language. All other USE results should not affect the grades on the certificate. According to the law, the grade for the subject is given as the average grade point for all quarters of grades 10 and 11.

Tip 3: What Unified State Exam subjects will be mandatory in 2019 and 2020

The rules for the Unified State Exam are constantly changing, and this makes eleventh-graders nervous - after all, any “surprises” that are not known in advance can reduce the chances of success. In particular, recently time is running There is a lot of talk about expanding the list of mandatory Unified State Exams, which everyone must take. What will this list look like for the Class of 2019? And what should those who will graduate from school in 2020 prepare for?

Compulsory Unified State Exam subjects in 2019: official data

By tradition, by the beginning of the school year, all the basic information about the upcoming Unified State Examination (USE) is published on the website of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements (FIPI), including all changes in the rules for conducting upcoming exams, as well as all the materials necessary to prepare for them (codifiers, demos, versions, etc.). All this data has already been published, and based on it we can confidently say that graduates in 2019 need not be afraid of “surprises.”

The list of compulsory subjects remains the same, and eleventh graders are required to pass only two subjects to receive a certificate:

  • Russian language:
  • mathematics(basic or profile level).

The level of the mathematics exam is chosen by the student himself, but do not forget that only the results of the profile level are accepted for admission to the university. If desired, a student can take both levels at once - then, if something goes wrong on the profile Unified State Exam and it is not possible to cross the threshold in points, it will be guaranteed to receive a certificate by passing the “base”.

To obtain admission to the Unified State Examination you will also need write an essay, graded as “pass” or “fail”. Most graduates will write their essay in December, while those who did not receive the desired “pass” the first time or were unable to take part in the exam for good reasons will be able to do so in February or May.

The number of elective subjects that a graduate takes is not regulated in any way - if, for example, a student plans to continue his studies in college (for admission to which the Unified State Exam is not required) - one can limit oneself to the “mandatory minimum”. Typically, graduates take 2-3 elective subjects required for admission to their chosen specialty, but nothing prevents them from “insuring themselves” by choosing a few more additional exams.

The oral part of the Unified State Exam in Russian is not yet planned

Another topic that was actively discussed in anticipation of the new academic year is the proposed introduction of an oral part (interview) in the Unified State Exam in the Russian language. However, these are nothing more than rumors caused by the fact that ninth-graders will have to take interviews in 2019. For them, this will be admission to the State Examination Academy - the same as an essay is for eleventh graders.

Let us note that representatives of the Ministry of Education voiced that the idea of “Russian oral” for eleventh graders, if discussed, will only be after the interview technology has been “tested” with ninth-graders. That is, in the next at least two to three years, everyone will take Russian in the already familiar written form.

Will the Unified State Examination in history be mandatory in 2020?

The set of subjects required for passing in 2020 should not undergo changes - Schoolchildren, as in previous years, will take Russian language and mathematics, plus electives.

In the last few years, however, the idea of expanding the set of compulsory disciplines to include history has been actively discussed. And Education Minister Olga Vasilyeva announced in 2017 that this would happen in 2020. However, a week after this statement, which greatly alarmed schoolchildren and their parents, the leadership of the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science essentially refuted her words, saying that the issue of introducing such an exam had not even been properly discussed and work in this direction was not yet underway.

At the same time, the “launch” of a new mandatory exam is a rather lengthy and multi-stage process. It includes the development of a meaningful testing model, examination technology, and testing. This takes more than one year. Therefore, even if in the near future a decision is made that everyone needs to take history, the exam will be “launched to the masses” no earlier than in 3-4 years.

And in the summer of 2018, the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergei Kravtsov said that the only significant change in the Unified State Exam planned for the coming years is the introduction of a mandatory foreign language exam.

When will the mandatory Unified State Exam in a foreign language appear?

Make final tests in foreign languages mandatory planned for 2022. At the same time, there is no need to fear that all schoolchildren, without exception, will be subject to the same requirements as those who are taking this (very difficult) exam now. According to officials (in particular, the head Federal service for supervision in the field of education by Sergei Kravtsov), the approach to the foreign language exam will be approximately the same as it is now to mathematics:

  • The Unified State Examination will be divided into basic and profile (in-depth) levels;
  • to obtain a certificate, a “base” will be enough;
  • the basic exam will be quite simple (there will be no letters or essays, the level of complexity of the texts will be much lower, and the topics will be simpler).

According to FIPI director Oksana Reshetnikova, the level of difficulty of the “exam for everyone” will be such that even schoolchildren with very “average” knowledge of the subject will be able to successfully pass the test. When developing tasks, FIPI specialists will rely on the results of the VPR in foreign languages. Large-scale testing of the new exam model is planned for 2021.

The Unified State Exam is the “final chord” of eleven years of schooling. Moreover, despite the fact that this format became mandatory for all Russian schools back in 2009, the rules for its implementation are constantly changing. It is not surprising that graduates and their parents constantly have questions regarding the final certification. And one of them is the influence of Unified State Exam scores on the certificate.

Do Unified State Examination results affect grades on the certificate?

The OGE (GIA) exams, which schoolchildren take after 9th grade and the Unified State Exam, which are taken after graduation full course high school, are very similar in format. And this similarity leads to some confusion when students try to apply the experience gained at the OGE to final exams.

So, after finishing the ninth grade, the grade in the subject assigned to the certificate of incomplete secondary education depends both on how the work was assessed during the year and on the results of the OGE: the “average score” is entered on the certificate (rounded up ). Moreover, if previously this applied only to compulsory subjects - mathematics and the Russian language - then since 2018, the results of elective exams also influence the final grade.

However, the situation with the Unified State Exam is completely different. Surprisingly, The exam results do not in any way affect the grades assigned to the matriculation certificate.. The final grade is calculated taking into account the learning results in grades 10 and 11 (grades given for half a year and for a year) and cannot be adjusted to a greater or lesser extent. So, if a student received a “satisfactory” grade in mathematics, but scored an “excellent” on a fairly simple basic exam, the certificate will still show a “C”. And vice versa.

But it is still impossible to say that the Unified State Exam does not affect the certificate in any way. Firstly, the results of the final state exam determine whether the student will even be able to receive a document indicating that he has received an education. Secondly, starting from 2019, it is impossible to receive a “medal” certificate with honors without confirming your knowledge with Unified State Exam scores.

Minimum Unified State Exam scores to obtain a certificate in 2019

The certificate confirms that the student has mastered the eleven-year curriculum at least at some level. And if on Unified State Exam graduate demonstrates ignorance of basic subjects - Russian and mathematics - he cannot be considered to have successfully completed school.

Minimum threshold to obtain a certificate in 2019 is:

  • in Russian - 24;
  • in mathematics - 27 (professional level), three - for basic.

Schoolchildren who failed to clear the bar in one of these subjects the first time have the right to retake it twice in the same year. Those who “failed” both exams will have to study the school curriculum for another year. They will be able to pass exams and receive a certificate only after a year.

Please note that this applies only to compulsory subjects. Results obtained in elective exams are taken into account only for admission to the university. And, if a student fails to score the required minimum points in any of the elective exams (or does not take the exam at all), this will not affect the receipt of a certificate in any way.

How many Unified State Exam points do you need to score to receive a certificate with honors?

Until 2018 inclusive, graduates who “earned” a certificate with honors and a medal for academic success at their school desks received the coveted “red crusts”, regardless of the results of the Unified State Examination - it was enough to have “A’s” in all subjects of the school course. However, in December 2018, the Ministry of Education issued Order No. 315, amending the rules for issuing certificates. Now excellent students need to confirm the high level of their knowledge by receiving:

  • in Russian - at least 70 points;
  • in mathematics - at least 70 points for a specialized exam or an “A” when passing the basic level.

These rules have already come into force, and students who do not pass this threshold cannot qualify for a certificate with honors and a medal. They also lose additional points awarded admissions committee medalists.

What percentage of potential medalists will not be able to overcome this bar is still unknown. It can be assumed, that greatest number The “victims” will be among those who take specialized mathematics. Russian is a subject with a relatively high average score (around 71), and students who know the subject usually perform well. Getting an “excellent” in basic mathematics is also not a problem; for the most part, the tasks are quite simple. But the “profile” is an exam that is considered quite difficult. The average score on it is just below 50, and often even children who know the school course well “give in” to non-standard tasks.
