The project "To the origins of morality through the Orthodox Book" was successful.

The goal of the project is the Orthodox enlightenment of residents of the Kirovo-Chepetsky district - was achieved.

All tasks set are solved: the problems of the availability of Orthodox literature to the readers of the district, informing the public on the issues of Orthodoxy. A public resonance was created and a large number of readers in the villages of the district were attracted to this project.

The project "To the origins of morality through the Orthodox Book" mobilized the work of the CRH in this direction and allowed the mechanism for the timely response of the resource of the library to changes. (Creation of thematic selections of Orthodox literature, the release of publishing products of Orthodox topics, developing a methodology for conducting activities for children).

Specific results were obtained that allow us to talk about the relevance of the project "To the origins of morality through the Orthodox Book": 7 lecture classes for 258 people were held. In addition, using the equipment acquired within the framework of the project, 8 events of Orthodox theme for children (158 people) were conducted. For libraries, 289 copies were purchased. And one of the logical links of this was the creation of the model of the Orthodox Foundation in the libraries of the district in the implementation of the next project - the network of "educational departments of Orthodox culture".

So the great post approached the end. This week we remembered the most important events that were the prototype of the upcoming passions of Christ. Ahead of us is expected to memorize the resurrection of Lazarus, the entrance of the Lord in Jerusalem and the passionate of the saddimians.

Every day we read the gospel with you, becoming witnesses of the great benefits of God and listeners of the words of Christ Truth. But once a year, before the great holiday of Easter Christ, we read very terrible words about the betrayal and suffering of our Savior, about his godfather. And today I would like to talk exactly about the cross.

Back in days, when none of the apostles could have thought that someone was able to raise his hand on Jesus Christ, our Lord began to warn his disciples about the upcoming suffering him. In the Gospel of Mark, we read:

The Lord does not just offer such a terrible way of following him. The memory of the cross should not just scare, bring the people who accompanied the Lord, but to approve in faith in him, when the same people witnessed the sufferings of Christ.
